I don't have a habit of telling people to "carry on doing something". This is really the only instance, and it's only meant facetiously. As far as me saying "it's fine to like this or that", I do say that, but not in the same context. It's always a helping sentence for my greater point that is about to turn negative. It's basically saying there is cultural relativity and I acknowledge that art is subjective.

I could certainly sometimes be accused of seeking attention. I do like attention. A few of my posts might fall into that category, but the large majority, I'm just discussing what's at hand, such as here in this thread. I'm always interested in the meta topic, and I'm a very self-aware person, so sometimes I stray away from the subject at hand and discuss the the discussion itself.
