The global figures I've got, downloaded from I've no idea where (possibly this forum, maybe around the time Yes came out?) are as follows:
- Please - 3.5m
- Disco - 2.2m
- Actually - 5.7m
- Introspective - 3.7m
- Behaviour - 2.1m
- Discography - 4.7m
- Very - 4.0m
- Disco 2 - 700k
- Alternative - 700k
- Bilingual - 1.2m
- Essentials - 39k
- Nightlife - 900k
- Release - 600k
- Disco 3 - 200k
- PopArt - 800k
- Fundamental - 450k
Apologies if I'm reposting someone else's research there.
Edit: found it, thanks to GalataPSB -
http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=59684 - obviously these are estimates too, but the poster seems to have at least done some grunt work to justify the numbers!

These figures are wrong, as for a start Release had sold 750,000 worldwide, as of mid 2003 and has now done 900,000.

It does make me wonder where EMI got their "50 million" figure from? Neil said they've certainly never been paid for 50 million but that's what they'd apparently sold by the time they left Parlaphone.
It's not totally crazy, once you add in the singles. Or was it "50 million albums"?
I think they always mean albums plus singles not only PSB-wise but for all other artists. I doubt Madonna sold more than 200 million albums. Singles can inflate your sales numbers quite significantly.

Ultimate has been opgraded from a silver certification to gold status for sales of 100,000 in the UK.
This is all part of an auto certification process which The BPI uses, where a release is certified immediately after it passes the criteria for a certification. This was implemented in the summer of 2013.

They're estimates. In the scheme of things, 600k ≈ 750k.

it also depends whether you are talking about units shipped or units sold - certifications are based on the former

The sales of Electric stood at 40,000 at the beginning of 2014, don't know how much it has sold since then.

In the UK. 90% of their sales come from outside the UK.
For comparison, Elysium sold 25k in the UK.

Yes, Elysium had sold only 25,000 by March 2013. It probably hasn't sold much since then.

Yes thanks Disco, these are always very interesting.
It's been (an incredible) 11,786 days since What have I done to deserve this? was released as a single. Would have thought it would have been well through 10,000 UK radio plays by now?

It probably hasn’t been played much in later years. Not like It’s A Sin which is obviously more regularly played.
