Never been a huge fan, but appreciate lots of his 80's stuff and loved 'Hallo Spaceboy'. Hearing about it this morning was a shock.

Cancer. I hate the disease.

Hopefully PSB will include either "Friendly fire" or "Hallo spaceboy" in their next tour....

I was quite taken aback by this news. So very sad. But his passing has been very Bowie. True to his art to the very end.

Personally I have always really liked Hallo Spaceboy. There is something eerie and menacing about it. I love the synths in it too. An underrated song from the PSB canon.

Funny that the three songs mentioned in the last three posts are pretty much the only ones I actually know and like of this legendary man.
It was such a shock when I heard the news. It just can't be.

(It looks like YouTube and the record company are wise to the money that can be made from Bowie's death, by disabling formally working links. Yes, it's their property, but shame on them under the circumstances. Google "Bowie Lazarus Video" to find a working link)

Bowie was the greatest pop star ever; I feel sorry for kids who've grown up in the Cowell epoch and think pop music is all about caterwauling over other people's songs.

I woke up to this news this morning. I was floored. While never a big Bowie fan it feels like something great is gone. He seemed like a staple on MTV when I was growing up too so there goes some of my childhood.

So shocked to hear the news this morning. We are going to miss you David Bowie...
