The Vitoria Wood sketch is great (as always)… has made me want to go and listen to Results… you can tell she had.

Reading this thread is like a lesson in not judging too quickly

Steve Wright was not too famous outside the UK, so I only really read about him here... I was about to cancel him in my mind, but now listening to the interviews uploaded by agent doris (thank you) it's clear it's not so black and white :)

I think the boys try to get along with people, and are mature enough to take a joke. Thinking about it, over the years they've been pretty polished and have worked hard at being on good terms. Never a lot of dramatic headlines, unlike some celebrities.

Also I remember Chris commenting about being in the audience when Steve Coogan made a vulgar joke about them, but he loved it.

I guess adults can nudge each other and still be on good terms. Still, must be hard sometimes in the public spotlight.

Also just remembered this brief homage on The Adam and Joe Show 25 years ago (about 60 seconds in):

Actually this might be the most perfectly cast PSB parody ever.

Chris is so blankly anonymous he didn't even get a puppet. Vindication.

Drico.

The Spitting Image song and video is quite amusing, but like so many of the parodies, the crap production and songwriting only serves to underscore how superb PSB's production and songwriting is. The only thing these parodies really seem to achieve is to demonstrate their inability to recreate the very thing they're trying to parody. That f***-awful Katy Brand one being the absolute nadir of the genre.

Conchords' Inner City Pressure gets it just right, though. Lovely stuff.
