George Michael is the same.

We could have an issue when he and Queen had singles out in the same year as to which one goes on the Yearbook, Extra, or Final Chapters...

I see no Abba in 1974. Their appearances on the Yearbook series have been slightly weird. They were on 1980, 1981, and 1982 - had only one track from 1979 - and appeared again on 1978. But not here? Must be holding Waterloo back for the Final Chapter, if not this Extra.

Drico.

PS I suppose it's far too much to hope that some PSB 12" singles might make an appearance on the 12" 80s series?

Yep, although I believe Wham/GM have a similar arrangement which is why the 83-86 comps have been a toussle between them

A very appropriate song title for this compilation. A case of pearls amongst pig shit

Feel appears on Now 119, released on November 15. Along with the Nonetheless singles, I'm with Stupid, Love etc, and I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing have all been recently reissued on various Now compilations (Yearbooks and Millenniums). With appearances in movies and adverts, the catalogue is getting the kind of exposure it hasn't had since they went indie. Far better this than being marginalised and forgotten about in a dark corner called the distant past.

They need to find out who looks after Marti Pellow's exposure. He's been No1 all week in iTunes.

It's Lorraine Kelly, the ITV promo team and a bunch of "piss stinking shopping centres in the new side of town." I think.

If that's what it takes to have a number one - he's welcome to it.

Someone persuade him to make two videos then it’ll be ineligible to chart! 😂

For those interested in these things, all four 1991 singles feature prominently on the Now Yearbook 1991 and its Extra. Jealousy is on CD 1 of the Yearbook, with Where the streets kicking off CD 4. DJ Culture follows the obligatory Queen opener on CD 1 of the Extra, with Was it worth it? kicking off CD 3. The Extra is released on January 9.

To date, every PSB single from What have I done to deserve this? to I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing - with the exception of Rent - has appeared on a Now Yearbook or its Extra. There is a chance the Please singles (and Rent) might appear on any Final Chapter 1985-89 which will likely make an appearance - if it is ever going to - over the next few months.

They make their debut in the Now 12" 80s series in February with Opportunities (12" Mix) and Suburbia (The Full Horror) appearing on Now 12" 80s 1986: Part One.

I must get back to these. I have 78-87 and their extras and the 80-84 Final Chapter sets. It will be very interesting to see what gets on the 85-89 Final Chapter. I suspect it'll be pretty top heavy with 1985, in the same way 80-84 was bottom-heavy with '84.

I have 77-93 and their Extras, but also 73 and its Extra, 74, and the Extras for 97 and 98. Basically, they sold out of the 74 Extra before I got around to it and I've been prioritising the Extras since as a result (I have yet to get around to the 97 and 98 Yearbooks themselves, seeing as they will really only be completist purchases).

So, I'm five down at the moment: 74 Extra, 76, 76 Extra, 97, and 98. And now I need to catch up on the 12" 80s.

We might get an announcement on the 85-89 Final Chapter next week. West End Girls and It's A Sin would be expected inclusions...
