I'd like a complete singles boxset on cd. Not that bothered about repackaging other stuff that's been repackaged a billion times before.

We've been very lucky with the Price trilogy, Dreamworld and Nonetheless - it could have gone very differently after they left Parlophone. Sadly I do wonder if they've got many albums left in them as the Pet Shop Boys. Another two or three years at their age is very different to the gap between Behaviour and Very.

Question is: who will be the curator of the material in the vaults after N&C won't be able to anymore (death, dementia, normal old age etc)?

Neil isn't quite a boomer, although the final wartime rationed products were ended the year he was born. He's also far from a burned-out drugged-up has-been rocker. He knows how to stay healthy and he's got the brains, don't forget.

It's Chris I'm worried about. One of these days he's going to fall asleep on a sofa somewhere and decide he can't be bothered waking up again...

Apart from the fact they literally mentioned it in Annually. It's no more niche than a pointless box set of their Disco albums.

Let's face it, the fanbase buys anything including wrapping paper and jigsaws but ultimately it's their early singles that they will be remembered for most. A carefully curated singles box set has got to have the biggest reach commercially - just no c***-ups or wrong mixes please.

I'd mainly want all the remix 12" versions from the Imperial era on CD which weren't included in the FL albums.

Do not agree. Albums sell better than cd singles with either 20 minutes of music or a full disc of mixes of the same song.
The fans will buy either of them of course. I am a big fan of cd singles and have all of the PSB ones since It's a sin, but do not like cd singles with 10 different mixes and dub versions of the same song. That was the only way to get these mixes in the 90s but nowadays I would nit listen to such a CD anymore from A to Z.

But of they mention it in Annually then that will probably happen. Would buy the ones up to It's a sin but not going to double dip the rest.

The Disco masters have never been remastered or rereleased, not sure they're even in print still.

A series of albums of extended and/or essential remixes would do well. Could even just stick to the 6 tracks per a CD... 3x12" format.

That would also be a nice Disco 5: a one or even 2CD set with the best remixes that so far have only released on vinyl. Not for the completist, but would make a great album. Plus it's a different concept than any of the four released so far.
