great system of ranking...I'd move Yes to Sloppy, because of the exquisite More than a Dream

Thanks - try as I might, I just can't get behind "Yes". Our dynamic podcast boys did a great In Depth pod and sales pitch for it and I really tried to give it a another chance back then, but to no avail.

The Way It Used To Be is like Actually distilled into a single track. Worth the price admission alone.

I wish I could explain it too. I just looked again at the list of tracks to see if I'm in denial, but really nothing on it does it for me.

I do like the Christmas EP version of "All Over The World" if it's any consolation.

my god..this album was so all over the place, like they took the rejects from Nightlife, Release, Yes to Super

Monkey Business is fun, Dreamland earnest and Wedding in Berlin a total hoot! but a good PSB Album this aint and the worst title for a PSB Album Nonetheless coming a close second.

It is impossible to say "Alexa, play Nonetheliess", she always plays Pet Shop Boys Christmas for some reason, then I have to choose an album track and then ask her to play full album

I need to bump up the album though up my ranking..this was surely a sorta return to form and some of the best b sides from the boys in eons

at Alexa. I've had similar issues trying to get PSB tracks I want to be played.

I like Hotspot, but almost every word you said I could translate over to my feelings about "Yes"...so you just inadvertently answered my previous comment although it wont get the bump up you're giving to Hotspot!

I think Hotspot is a really good album but it’s a little bit ‘all over the place’. Other than WIB there are no songs I dislike and it does have some really good tunes. I just find the tempo really inconsistent which makes it difficult to listen to in full. “Decide” would have been the best song on the album had they not left it off instead of including WIB. Truly bizarre.

Bonus Stats & Observations

• Most universally loved: Actually, Introspective, Behaviour, Very, and Please appeared in every list and dominated the top 5.
• Newcomer strength: Nonetheless landed in the top 10 despite being the newest release—clearly resonating with fans.
• Most polarizing: Elysium and Release were consistently ranked low, but still appeared in nearly every list.
• Sleeper favourite: Electric often hovered mid-table but had a few top 3 placements that boosted its score.

If only Decide and An open mind had replaced I don't wanna and Wedding in Berlin, Hotspot could genuinly have been a top 5 album for me. It still makes me sad even to this day because I really want to like that album so much more than I can in its current form, since personally it means quite a lot to me. But I digress...)

(**I used to rank Super a lot higher in the past, but since last year it's getting close to officially becoming my least favourite PSB album. It's interesting to me because I don't think I had a change of mind like this about any of their other albums before.)
