Ramzy wrote: Wed 05 Nov 2025, 1:19 pm Yeah, wasn't this strategy of the two-step release stretched to its absolute limit on Paninaro '95 such that you couldn't actually get the single mix on CD at all during its first week? I only recently heard the PSB extended mix that leads CD1 and, while good, it's a miracle that a single you could basically only buy on cassette still managed to debut in the top 20.
I remember searching for hours to obtain a copy of Paninaro '95 the cd-single. Weird how hard it was considering the video was on MTV all the time and NRJ Stockholm played it every hour. Would've made sense if the point was to make you buy the album Alternative, which was the obvious strategy in other cases. Just seemed like they put Homer Simpson in charge of their career for a while.

Ab Fab wasn't even a Psb release as I recall - the bands name was Absolutely Fabulous. The video isn't even listed on their Vevo channel. Maybe it's not their proudest moment.

I really like Absolutely Fabulous. While it is a little bit (may be more than a little bit) rip-off More and More by Captain Hollywood Project, I enjoy to dance to it . I love the cheesy side of the Boys; I do not like them when they infuse too much Latino sound and wah wah pedal to their songs.

Disco 2 remix is the real gem, though.

I have a relative who always complimented Psb when he heard my mixtapes - who then came home from a trip to Estonia with a pirated copy of Disco 2. That's 1994 folks.

(The boat Estonia also sank and thousands of people drowned the same year)

Why thank you, kind sir, what a delightful birthday gif(t)!

Why is it ten hours long though?
