I don't for one minute expect that Nightlife, Release, PopArt, Disco 3, Fundamental and Concrete have sold 15 million in total. Here http://digilander.libero.it/petshopboys/numbers.htm there are all the copies sold by PSB for every album even if it's strange that for this webmaster Behaviour sold more than introspective, when in A Life In Pop is said that is the best seller PSB album... I'd think singles should count, I mean, it's a record put out by the PSB and bought by the public; the content should matter little. I don't really trust those figures from that site, if only because Behaviour and Discography are near Very figures(and Bilingual seems inflated), but I suppose 15 years of people buying only those two discs because they are the best introduction makes it possible.
If you count singles, the count would skyrocket. In Alternative's commentary, Neil says 'A New Life', the b-side to What Have I Done..., sold about 2 million copies. You'd have to assume West End Girls sold more than that, and quite possibly Go West. Those 3 singles could be anywhere from 7-8 million(but I culd be way off). Neil also mentions in the Introspective commentary that Always on my Mind was the best selling single ever at one point if only because it was such a new format. Don't forget other #1's like Heart and It's a Sin. So I imagine it unlikely them having sold under 50 million, as long as you count singles. I'd imagine the records have sold 30 mill. It's all guesswork, but it seems like an educated estimate.
