They say the internet is full of crap. But I think there is something very good and special about this community. I hope we never loose that.

Thank you. Yesterday I went to Emden with a friend. We visited an exhibition called 'Künstlerkinder'
with paintings of several artists who painted their children like Gerhard Richter ('Moritz', 'Betty'),
Max Pechsstein, Käthe Kollwitz, Otto Dix, Pablo Picasso ...

Today I'm lazy. ; )

How funny, I love Richter, and knew immediately the paintings you mentioned. He's amazing.
Are you a painter Pani, or another medium? (I'm partial to paintings. )

I'm a painter, you can have a look at some of my paintings here,
mainly I do acrylic paintings and acrylic paint with paper scraps
from wall papers, sea charts and magazines as mixed media:

Maths stinks!

I generally don't contribute to this thread as my personal brand of inanity is every bit as inane as anybody else's, but I'll make a forum-related exception today.

Some of you may remember Further Away, or FA, a formerly prolific poster on Dot, Host, S*y, and Aimoo. Well, we've been together for 10 years now - one of the few forum couples, if you will. Yesterday morning, she gave birth to Drico Two Point Zero. Mother and baby are doing well, and father is hanging in there. The world of overblown prose is in raptures.
