Why there is no new HD upgrade video for Go West ? does it have something in common with current war situation ?
I think because it has already been done about 2 years ago:
Go West:

Also done were:
West End girls:

What have I done to deserve this?:

It's a sin:

Paninaro:

So, "Being Boring" has appeared in its newly HD upgrade on youtube, and weirdly the entire opening section with the pool & trampoline has been censored out (only the writing on a black screen remains.) A perplexing (and disappointing) choice since the original uncensored version has existed on youtube seemingly without incident for 14 years. It's giving me shades of when "Justify My Love" appeared on Madonna's 2009 Celebration DVD collection with new black bars over the nudity (which was hilarious because pre-release it was hyped as being a "never before seen" version of the video, which I suppose ended up being true since the black bars had truly never before been seen.)
Anyway what are the odds that this is the version that ends up on the Smash blu-ray? I'd like to think we'll still get the original full video there, but I don't know - PSB have made some terrible choices in the past so nothing would surprise me at this point.

Very disappointing indeed. At least the uncensored version is still available on YouTube. Maybe they couldn't get any ads because of the "nudity". Hopefully the Blu-ray will be uncensored.

Wow, that's pretty sad. I'm keeping an eye out on the blu ray, I expect it has the uncensored one.
YouTube is obviously quite puritan

Not really. Not so much about PSB, the author doesn't seem to know a lot about them. But the article is long and filled with lots of crap about society with absolutely no connection to PSB.

Subterfuge in a career lie:
"The package includes all Pet Shop Boys’ hits starting with their debut single ‘West End girls’ " it is said about SMASH on the PSB store website. Ok, then we'd expect the Bobby O version from 1984 ,wouldn't we?
But the version on SMASH is West End girls '85 which actually is the 4th single in their career (1: West End girls '84, 2: OMC '84, 3: Oppor '85).

Not to mention an entire paragraph that does nothing but take cheap shots at trans people.

Oh gawd that Michael Collins article is just him being a grumpy old man spouting half-baked opinions while thinly referring PSB for the sake of getting something published.

It looks like that had been uploaded by mistake and the uncensored HD upgraded version of Being Boring is now on YouTube.

"The new HD version of the classic “Being boring” video is now available to watch on the official PSB YouTube channel. A previously unused American edit of the video had been mistakenly upgraded and uploaded - this has now been deleted. The video won Music Week’s award for Video of the Year in 1990 even though it was banned by MTV in America."

America:- Naked Man. Bad.
Naked women. Perfectly fine.
Although Janet Jackson might disagree.
