Well what an entertaining first-half of the Champions League Third Place Play-Off. It's quite staggering how the Premiership is hyped - that was the worst forty-five minutes of football I have ever seen. Even worse then England.

Only Arsenal within the top 4 play with any sort of entertainment when the top 4 meet. The rest give you 90 or 120 minutes of absolute drivel.

That game was a disgrace. Millions watching and thousands paying extortionate prices to be conned like that.

You then get the play offs, where the teams have arguably more to lose and they end up giving you fantastic entertainment.

What a bollocks cup-final that was. As a neutral I feel robbed of two hours of my life!

I know that there have been some dull finals over the years but that was absolutely disgraceful. I know Chelsea are always boring but what was Man U's excuse? They've won the League, the Cup is hardly important to them these days so why play like that? And for Barbara Woodhouse's mob to win it at the death made it even worse for me.

F*ck, I've just realised that it was even worse than the Man U-Liverpool Cream Suit Final of 1996.

Sorry, that's complete nonsense.

First off, Arsenal are perfectly capable of giving you absolute drivel too (was this final really any worse than United-Arsenal a few years ago?)

Second, I've seen some really good games between top 4 sides this season, especially the Chelsea-Liverpool Champions League games, which were very tense, if not perhaps producing dozens of chances. Oh, and Liverpool beating Arsenal 4-1 at Anfield was quality too

I think it depends what you want from your football matches; good footballers matching each other in a titanic struggle, or shit footballers making mistake after mistake leading to opportunity after opportunity for the opposition.

Like Mourinho says, 5-4 is a hockey score. With top defences, you won't get that very often, and that's not a bad thing.

I know, I'm slightly worried by that win the other night!!! Yeovil normally grind out 1-0 wins so 5-2 was amazing! Saying that, we've won 9 on the trot and beat Oldham today 3-1 without playing at our best. If we're at our best, we should win.

Yes, Arsenal are capable of boring matches, every team are but 9 times out of 10, they have a go, United, Chelsea and Liverpool are terribly negative, especially when they play each other. The Champs league semi might have been good from a fans point of view but a neutral would have been bored sh*tless. As a Liverpool fan yourself, the boring game will pass you by because you are watching it first and foremost because you want a result.

I can understand Liverpool doing it to an extent because their side is full of work horses and don't have the flair that the other three have but these are the top 4 sides in the country. Infact, 3 of them are in the top 4 sides in Europe. Football deserves better. Todays game was inexcusable.

As for the league one play off, so far, Yeovil are streets ahead of the other three but anything can happen in a one off final.

No luck for me today either. I had a fiver on Blackpool 2-2 and 3-2 and 25 quid on United to win the final on pens @ 10/1.

Yeovil are not in the same class as Blackpool!!! We've won 9 on the trot, took 4 pts off them in the league and finished above them in the league table. They beat a very poor Forest side who we'd have beaten too. I think next week will be tough but we can pass them off the park and as top scorers in League One are obviously favourites. Add to that the loudest supporters in the division and I think we can do it!

Good luck next weekend, Jon. I bet you wish the final was still in Cardiff, though, as you have a pretty decent record there.

It's a tough one, mind you, as I like both teams - terrific sets of fans. I'll never forget how fantastic the Yeovil fans were when they beat Southend at the death in League 2 a couple of seasons ago and pipped us to promotion. They stayed behind to clap our players as the end of season awards were handed out and a few of them even came to the Mill Stad to support us in the play-off final.

And of course, Blackpool fans were a credit to themselves when they beat Southend in the LDV the season before that - a really friendly bunch. Should be a cracking final, though sadly I'll be away and won't be able to watch it.
