Both singles are decent. 6/10 but I do think the B-Sides are better.

I get the worry some have about the two singles versus the rest of the album but what exactly is a single these days? They're not going to chart, so they could just be picking anything.

If the album is full of tracks as good as Lonliness and Dancing Star, I reckon it's going to be pretty good.

This single is perhaps the first time they've cracked the TikTok/Radio 1 attention-span-of-a-gnat code. With previous radio edits, I invariably felt that the definitive version was an extended mix or album cut. But this small package is perfectly formed. It leaves me longing for more. There's nothing chopped off. Loneliness, for example, might as well have been called the Lorena Bobbitt mix.

The coolly aloof semi-detached spoken work call-and-response of the chorus is marvelous, even if it does risk self-parody. But it's done so knowingly that I find myself swept along by this latest brand strengthening advertisement.

The chorus uses the same chord progression of I-II-iii.

The beat is like the one in Drop the pressure (Mylo), but slown down.

I recommend YouTube instead. The comments section for each song reflects the wider public far more than this forum does - and the upvoting system ensures popular comments are viewed first

The issue with this forum (and forums in general) is that the tiny minority of terminally online, depressed people without a positive word to say about anything flood the comments and there is no way of downvoting them - so these hyper-minority, excessive pessimistic views become the majority of posts, despite not representing wider opinion at all

there's a reason most forums died in the 00's
