I have always had a liking for overly produced pop. I may be in the minority but I even have no problem with teen pop if it sounds good. I am not a musical snob, not to suggest you are, but I dont get so deep when I listen to music. West End girls music for me is catchy and well produced and I will buy it. other than that I really havent thought it out.ultraplus wrote:OK, fair enough. This West End Girls thing is nice and 'cute' but that's pretty much it. They're novelty, which is fine...But by virtue of what they are releasing, this group is entirely uncreative (therefore uninspired) and... well, I find that boring. For the record, I also found the A-Teens nauseating.
'Domino dancing' is a wonderful song being mimicked by a couple of Swedish teenagers who can't sing and were probably not even born when these songs first came out. These girls make T.A.T.U. look credible.
It's just the old formula of taking classic pop, and putting it through the Swedish sausage machine of pop. It all sounds the same. Call me crazy, but I find it rather pointless. There's absolutely nothing creative going on.
like a monkey ,I'm attracted to bright shiney things.
