I think the acts aren't allowed to lip-sync now on there...at least that's what I read ages ago!

Really? In Germany the show was cancelled a few weeks ago. There were a lot of acts doing a complete playback.

Divorce your parents and get Chris to adopt you.

It was a mess!
Masks were tacky......the dance routine ridiculous, Neil was flat for some of it (Come on Neil, surely you can sing in tune to your backing voice!)
Don't release songs you can't sing on Top of the Pops....or just don't bother going on it anymore....no-one watches it anyway.
Completely uninspiring........
I can imagine that the BBC said you cant have a mask of Blair and Bush....you'll have to have all of them or none of them!
Would have been better having Neil and Chris with a video montage in the background of world leaders etc.... and Neil is much better when he is Neil the Pet Shop Boy rather than Neil the pop star doing silly hand movements and saying 'thank you top of the pops.....' And what is going on with those jeans???? They look like they are three sizes too long!!

I love the way people are expecting to be "inspired" by an ageing pop duo hawking their latest comeback single in a career that has lasted 20 years on a show that is so irrelevant to the general public that it has been moved to a Sunday on a channel most people ignore.
It seems to me that the iconic, mythical PSB of yesteryear, all mystery and sinister subversiveness, is something that people just cannot seem to let go of - a bit like a bad dose of the clap. They're too long in the tooth for that ol' schtick now. The very fact they are still around to gesticulate and gesture, grin and pose, is more than enough for me these days. Obviously, I'm easily pleased.
Drico.

I see the Can You Forgive Her? costumes have been redesigned as Guantanamo Bay jump suits. Nice move.

I honestly thought they were fantastic. I was expecting a thigh slap or two rather than a performance and loved every bit of it, cut-out masks notwithstanding.
It was, as is so often the case with PSB, terribly postmodern with obvious shades of their most fabulous TOTP ever (Can you forgive her?) and yet another example of how pop music can fulminate incandescently for three and a half minutes and almost make you forget you'd just sat through Jamie Foxx.

I was really pleased to see them perform again on tv and personally i thought neil and chris both looked great and the dancers were funny. I just hope i've won the 6music compertion to see them in their exclusive concert!
Then again........
