You guys have not got the US version of Pop Art? It has all the single versions on it. I already had the UK version and was not going to get the US release until I heard they had fixed it and sure enuf it does have the single versions of Heart and Flamboyant.[/quote]

Presumably the US version of Popart hasn't got the 7" mix of Seriously? Mmm, will buy it next week I think.

Biggest pet 9shop) hate is the godawful versionof Being Boring on nightlife tour, and I also hate the fact thy play Go west with the male choir recorded vouices. if they insist on doing it then at least have the full compliment of welsh voices!

The whole Nightlife era. Aside from one or two songs, I'd rather just forget the whole thing.

love this thread. congrats to the opener.

my list :

- The Sound of the atom splitting. What was the porpouse? Unlistenable.
- Neil coming out of the closet. (everybody now openly associates PSB to gay issues which is quite restrictive for their careers and projection)
- The "I wouldn't normally do" official remixes.
- Sodom & Gomorrah not being release as a single.
- The "Liberation" official remixes.
- The Movie. (It couldnt happen here)
Neil Tennant has a great voice, Chris Lowe has great silence.

All the charidee work.
Neil's Nehru Collar Jackets.
The Hardcore Orchestra stabs they still use 15 years after hardcore happened.
Not releasing the Kevin Saunderson mix of I Want a Dog.
..... or Julian Perez mixes of It's Alright.

That lot will do for starters.
Hello my name is Neil Tennant and I'm Chris Lowe and we're of the Pet Shop Boys.

Yeah congrats to the opener of this thread. But hate is just not a good word to use. Its more like we all dislike something. Hate is too strong, PSB have done nothing bad to anyone of us. We use that word "hate" so openly does not make any sense. Like I said I hate Paris Hilton, no I dislike her. I dislike the fact that PSB left out talking about the "Performance" tour from "A life in Pop", I do not hate it.

what Julian Perez mixes of it's alright, where have you heard these?

Definitely agree with the coming out issue, it was predicatble they would then be stereotypically pigeon holed.

The Julian Perez mix of It's Alright, as well as the Inner City mix of It's Alright and the Saunderson mix of I want a dog were mentioned in an early issue of Literally and have never been released, either officially or unofficially.

Actually, the term 'pet hate' doesn't literally translate into something you 'hate'. In English its used as something of a colloquialism to describe things you dislike and not things you'd hate. Unless, its Simply Red, who I quite happily hate with abandon.

I don't think Inner city remixed It's Alright, the other remixer mentioned was Joe Smooth. It's bizarre sometimes the mixes they choose to release, if you've paid money to get a mix done and you like them why just let them rot in a vault. I never get why they didn't release the vocal Dj Pierre mix of IWKD...on the UK Cd rather than the two Pierre mixes which were far more similar to each other
Still waiting to hear the Adam Freeland, Manhattan Clique and Axwell mixes of Integral.

Actually, I forgot about the Very remixes. They were, by and large, complete rubbish and had very little in common with the originals. Apart from the Rollo remix of Can you forgive her?? and the good but slightly cheesy Coconut 1 remixes of Yesterday, when I was mad, they should have left them all to rot in a vault somewhere.

Ok, its my turn ...

I dont like:

-Their greatest hits Setlists

-Silly Dancers from the 90's (as seen on their "fundamental"-world tour)

-Neil saying exactly the same on every concert, including "Hello xxx" (insert name of your country here)

- Integral ( Mr. Vain / 90s dance stuff...)

- Them for being not cool anymore for the mass audience ;-)

Well, no one is perfect. I love them anyway.

-Why do you hate "Rent" so much? Pretty much the Ur-PSB song. Money, sex, luxury, money, operatic depiction of volatile sexual arrangements, gender ambiguity ..it's the definitive PSB song imho.

.
For me Rent is dull, boring and overrated.
