So, to include a song it must have been a big hit, but it also has to be a song that people still remember. That would make more sense to me. Do people still remember "It's alright"??
Yes, it was based on the UK Charts.

Parlophone is based in the UK is it not? Both Discography and PopArt were UK based compliations (i.e singles issued in UK) so this 3rd collection would be UK based.

My point is thta someone mentioned that this 1CD needs to be based on PSB biggest singles and I took that at those with highest chart position hence my 18 tracks.

I'd expect Miracles to be included on a 1cd set. I'd also expect them to include some favs like "Rent" and "Being Boring" over better sellers like "Where the Streets" and "Heart".

I think they may consider non-singles this time, over the years various songs have become iconic even though there were not singles, such as "In the Night - (theme from the clothes show)" and "shopping" which has turned up on tv a lot.

Any others I'm neglecting?

It also of course provides the opportunity for a lead single as a remix with a cheap video.

Because their next single will be their 40th Top40, probably (though, to all appearances, it will be "Integral" in september), they should make another cover of U2. How about "Forty"? Because there is not much words on it, Chris could "sing" it.
