Classics, the lot of them. Have you got the Laurel and Hardy box set with the 21 DVD's? Well worth £50.

So what inspires you? Who gets you hot under the collar.
I said before on this forum that I`m a fan of Woody Allen. I`ve just realized how great actors / actresses he has always worked with; his films (especially the most recent ones) may not be as good as his classics were, still they are stuffed with memorable acting; it really seems to me that the actors are better than ever when working with the maestro – for example, I hardly ever saw Chazz Palminteri being as good as he was in “Bullets Over Broadway”. “Everyone Says I Love you” is another gem IMO - still, the lover of Julia Roberts` character could have been played by someone else!

Favourite actors:

Tom Hanks – he is a damn good actor, able to turn into gold everything he touches, despite having rather plain looks
Jeff Bridges – just wonderful, anyone who remembers him as Jack Lucas in “Fisher King”? Or as Gregory in “The Mirror Has Two Faces” (Quite cheesy film, I admit, but he was adorable)…
Christopher Walken – he is an excellent dancer as well!
Phillip Seymour Hoffman (especially when he loses some weight!)
Peter Coyote
Ethan Hawke (since “Before Sunrise”)
Gabriel Byrne
Antonio Banderas – so underestimated at Hollywood… still was great in the first Zorro film, do you remember the dance scene with Zeta-Jones?
Ewan McGregor – not only a beautiful face and great acting, but also singing skills (“Down With Love”!)
Sean Penn (especially for “21 grams”and “Mystic River”)
Benicio Del Toro (“21 grams”)

Actresses:

Julia Roberts (she`s able to shine in a movie, unless it`s "Pretty Woman" or "Steel Magnolias") – just damn good in “Charlie Wilson`s War” and in “Closer”.
Catherine Zeta-Jones
Jennifer Garner
Romola Garai (young English actress – pure class)
Reese Witherspoon – she was pregnant during most of the making of “Vanity Fair” with Mira Nair, still she stole all the scenes she was in.
Cameron Diaz
I generally admire the actresses who are able to play well comedic roles, to sing and/or dance. The more jealous they make me, the better!

These names are all I could remember now, there are so many actors/actresses that inspire me. Many of them are Americans, still I think that the best actors in the world come from Britain and Ireland – maybe because they begin taking acting lessons from an early age, and/or maybe they play a lot on the theatre stage. I also noticed what good actors come from the Latin America – I recently saw the series on Hallmark about Castro and the actor playing him (Víctor Huggo Martin) was just perfect. The best Cleopatra ever IMO was made by Leonor Varela, and I remember now a stunning Latino film (apparently frivolous, actually a satire against any kind of dictatorship) with Angie Cepeda and Salvador del Solar: “Pantaleón y las visitadoras”…

And speaking of movies made in Peru, here`s another one: “Fitzcarraldo”, from the mythical duo Herzog – Kinski.

Favourite TV series :

Seinfeld (I think it`s the best comedic series ever!)
Married With Children (a bit gross sometimes, but what a damn funny thing)
Desperate Housewives – I`m watching now in Romania the third series.

I presume you are refering to the first film not Robocop 2 which Glennridge listed. Robocop is actually quite a clever satire on corporate America, and what many would view as Western capitalist corruption. Funny, thought it would be right up your street

yeah I love the scene at the end after all the killing and mayhem the corporations robot had done and the lawyer was like, we wont have to worry about compensating the dead ones obviously. and the corporation head was like.. "they'll have relatives....they always do.

anyways I also love Phillip Seymour Hoffman's work.
I saw "before the devil knows your dead" about two brothers who need cash and think it would be a cakewalk to rob their parents jewery store, but some bad stuff goes down.

a couple others I liked, "40 year old virgin", which never made me laugh out loud but I loved how his friends did their best to help him out.

people dont seem to be too crazy over tom cruise but I liked him in "collateral" about a no-nonsense hitman.

my friends? the friends in 40 year old virgin were sweet, understanding, and kind trying to get their hopeless friend laid.... my friends would have just found some hooker and paid her 10 dollars and sent her over and laughed themselves to death about it.

You'd have to be careful in case you ended up inadvertently blowing your brains out.

she plays a teen who is being pursued online by a guy she believes to be a pedophile.
she arranges to go to his place for a photoshoot and she drugs him and ties him up.
then she tells him she is going to solve his problem by performing a ....lets just say a modification to his manhood.
