I'm a big fan of instrumental versions, and there are some songs
on here that are better as instrumentals.

Also, these are good for making extended versions, yet another
thing to add to the list of things to do.

Nope. I've not found them either. I think someone posted a link that got taken down pretty quickly as it breaks forum rules and some people happened to be online at the right time.

Greetings,

On a related note, Pet Shop Boys have put Hotspot on Bandcamp, which allows you to download the file in any number of formats, including my favourite digital format, FLAC.

Perhaps they could be convinced to use Bandcamp a bit more extensively, as it's a great platform used by a lot of indie artists and I'm sure they would get a better % of the sales revenue than other platforms.

If "Pet Shop Boys Partnership" (as opposed to Parlophone) own the instrumentals, it might be a great way to release them to the public... ditto for any other hypothetical releases pitched at the "hardcore" fanbase. I for one would love some remix packages of mixes that have either not been commerically released, or have only appeared on vinyl.

Retro. :)

Bandcamp have been waiving their cut of any money artists make on the first Friday of each month since lockdown. As a result, many acts have been putting up exclusive releases to coincide. Arab Strap, for instance, put a wonderful archive of 20 digital releases up last week, including 10 live albums, rare releases, radio sessions and demos.

Wonder if PSB could be planning anything like this for the next Bandcamp Friday in June? One can dream...

Never shared, or never shared publicly? There's an important difference. No-one creates a link for themselves.

Never shared publicly here, at least on the actual message board. It was originally shared on another website, not there anymore ...directly at least.
