I'm not a huge fan of it; whilst the 12" mix is pretty glorious I think the 7" mix we got was pretty mediocre. If I had the stems I'd love to redo a 7" mix as I would have done it back in the day if I were them.

I actually prefer the guitar based arrangement originally by that Brazilian fan.

I just dont like the gang vocal chorus. I prefer when Neil does his own background vocals. It sounds slightly jarring. I think its a beautiful song let down by the frantic arrangement. I would have preferred the live version’s arrangement with a bit more lush string production and bass/drums

Ot just occured to me that the chorus of the song has the same bassline als Black Box' 1989 hit Right on Time. You can hear it right at the start of the song.

The song is glorious, but the chorus is dire. The vocals screaming “Was It Worth It” makes me cringe.
They did an acoustic version on tour that was better because they removed this.
That “Well I don’t know why, I was dreaming about you” is still magic!
