Or Morse! But Spiritualized did Morse too.
I like to think of it as home...

Or a whole new set of symbols, like Pink Floyd on Division Bell but that would be too pretentious.Nicholas wrote: Thu 14 Dec 2023, 6:55 pm I’d like to see them do something Brailley but I think Farrow have probably had their fill of Braille with all their Spiritualized sleeves.
All the lyrics and credits included but completely redacted. And the track listing. And the album title.telys wrote: Fri 15 Dec 2023, 12:13 pmOr a whole new set of symbols, like Pink Floyd on Division Bell but that would be too pretentious.Nicholas wrote: Thu 14 Dec 2023, 6:55 pm I’d like to see them do something Brailley but I think Farrow have probably had their fill of Braille with all their Spiritualized sleeves.

What does DIN that mean exactly ?Nicholas wrote: Thu 14 Dec 2023, 6:54 pm I hope they’re moving on from DIN for this new album, it’s been DIN to death since Dreamland came out.
It’s a type family famously used on German road signs (and in other countries, probably, but it mainly makes me think of Germany). And all over the Hotspot sleeve.

It’s very nice and functional and clean but they’ve used it on all the website adverts since Hotspot as well and it’s time they tried something new.
In English, ‘din’ is noise, which could be fun as an album title! But has nothing to do with the name of the typeface. I assume!
I would say so - with the album due in April, I’d be surprised if we don’t hear the first music in the coming weeks.Ghost within this house wrote:Bumping this thread up now we've turned the corner into 2024.
I never fail to appreciate the build-up / campaign ahead of a new album. These periods mark phases in my life. Not much gets me excited these days, but the countdown to a Pet Shop Boys album still does, giving me a fleeting reunion with my younger, more excitable, self...
What do we all think? Something to drop before the end of Jan?
There's a lot of interesting designs in the mark farrow site but there's no mention of the artists (i don't think there would be already something from the new album).Dog wrote: Tue 02 Jan 2024, 9:50 pmI would say so - with the album due in April, I’d be surprised if we don’t hear the first music in the coming weeks.Ghost within this house wrote:Bumping this thread up now we've turned the corner into 2024.

And the new PSB single is… “A hint of inner turmoil”jasonjohn wrote: Wed 03 Jan 2024, 12:22 am Let's skip Farrow and just repurpose jules' avatar as the album art. It's suitably opaque, bright, with a hint of inner turmoil.
I don't think it could happen.Cdrodkey wrote: Fri 05 Jan 2024, 5:33 am If the film has a new song in its credits, the new song would be Oscar eligible.
