Well, Heart was originally supposed to be the first single of Actually…., but they went with Its A Sin, because almost everyone that was in the decision process thought that it was easily the most commercial track on the album…

Tom Stephan has just confirmed to me on Instagram that his remix of Party in the Blitz will be an extra track on the next single 'out soon'.
That's what I call "main single" ("lead single"), the one that is released more closest to the album's release date and is supposed to be the most important for selling records. It's arguably the best track on the album.
So if we follow your logic, What Have I Done…. was the best track on Actually, in YOUR opinion.
Well, it made it better in USA than It's a Sin. It was #2 and yes, it's an amazing song. A real classic.

True.
In fact, I think they saw more potential in "What have I done to deserve this?" than "It's a Sin" or "Heart" at that time.
I've always thought the part Dusty sings was suitable for American (USA) audiences. In fact, Allee Willis wrote that part of the song.

Congratulations to the one who voted Dancing Star.

Neil stated in the "Letters" section of Annually 2021 that he and Chris had written a song about Rudolf Nuryev during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. "Dancing Star" turns out to be that song, having been inspired by a television documentary Neil had watched about the expatriate Russian ballet dancer. Described by The Guardian journalist Laura Snapes as "an ecstatic hymn" set in London's "swinging 'sixties," it was announced as the second single from Nonetheless in mid-March 2024. Little other information is currently available about it.

Judging from the preview snippet there could be more potential in Loneliness than Dancing Star. But, Loneliness didn't get any remixes which Dancing Star does so DS might well be the main single.

Live album called Inner Sanctum but Inner Sanctum was not the "main single".

From my perspective "Dancing Star" is an obvios lead single, the snippet reflects the old-school sound from the 80's, Bobby "O" style. The kind of track that can be loved by Radio 2 listeners.

Since my last post I have reconsidered after multiple listenings to the snippet. Dancing Star is also a better title for a main single than Loneliness.

Loneliness 5:37
Feel 5:02
Why am I dancing? 3:32
New London boy 4:52
Dancing star 3:01
A new bohemia 4:00
The schlager hit parade 3:28
The secret of happiness 5:28
Bullet for Narcissus 3:50
Love is the law 5:00
Funny to see how those songs that you could think are danceable songs because of their tittles are the ones with less of 4 minutes long. But Loneliness is quite dancey, anyway.

For the main single, i bet on a ballad, the schlager hit parade or bullet for narcissus.

What! The new single is the shortest song from the album?! Outrageous! Better have a good extended mix!

In fact, the first single is the longest song of the album and the second is the shortest.
