Great news. Gutted though - actually created myself a playlist on Spotify a couple of years ago called, yup, PSB Obscure. Should've copyrighted the damn thing 😂

My money is on Winner.
We all feel better in the dark. I mean, the title alone is the best fit for a show called Obscure. And it's a fan favourite B-side.
Chris on opening vocals? Now that would be obscure, but actually very cool if they kept the lights low for the first minute until the hectic first verse.

Reading through these setlist proposals and I’m taking a beat to realise (again) how fortunate we all are to follow such an amazingly talented band.

I need to hear all of these tracks again like NOW!
you could say conventional ... and I could claim intentional

I’d like a couple from closer to heaven as well. Hedonism would be a good opener

Tell me now, you don't disagree
I think Neil would disagree. Didn't they do a live performance of this in the early days which didn't go so well?

If I remember correctly, Neil likes to open with a few unchallenging tracks to get his voice right first.

Retro. :)
Chris: "We did it on The Tube and it didn't work."
Neil: "That's why it wasn't a single. We got a real downer. It was the worst television appearance we ever did in our entire life. It was The Euro Tube. We opened the whole show with 'West End girls' and I had to sing live, and it was fine. We then had to wait two hours, during which time I drank four pints of beer, then I had to sing 'Tonight is forever'. You have never heard anything worse in your entire life.
I wish someone posted a link to this.

Thank you Dog, as usual, you are a great contributor :)

To be honest, I did not find it too dreadful. He at least hits high notes well. Probably because I kept my expectations quite low... I do not know but it sounds OK. I was expecting some cringe-worthy croaks like a frog or something akin to it. Maybe I have some problems with my ears?

Speaking for myself. his collaboration with Brandon Flowers in a live performance of Always on my mind (Glastonbury, BBC?) was way worse than this as his nasal tone is in sharp contrast against Brandon's strong baritone-like voice, which underscores the shortcomings of his voice.

The video quality is astonishing, by the way, given it is from 1986.

Some cracking set lists here, as I would have expected from the "hardcore"..

Since it's not a single - SMASH is here to remind us of that - they should perform "Burning The Heather"...

Some great set lists, cant see them playing Kings Cross it was very nearly a single, has been played live lots and is therefore not really Obscure (it is probably PSBs best known none single). I would really like to hear Breathing Space, Miserabilism and I did not get where I am today. I assume Music for Boys is in as it was mentioned it has been used in promotion. I also think The Way It Used To Be will make it.
