pepe wrote:Hi, I'd just like to tell you there's a new PSB interview in the upcoming
Sunday edition of the newspaper Der Tagesspiegel.
It's mainly about terror, the power of pop music and - of course - Potemkin.

http://www.tagesspiegel.de/sonntag/inde ... 87.asp#art

If you don't happen to speak German, here are a few points:

- In the Eighties Chris was working in the toy department of Harrod's.
Once there was a bomb warning and he had to search for a bomb
by examining the shelves stuffed with all the cute toys.

- They openly disagree about Iraq (Chris: "We were deeply divided.")
and whether there's a link between Western politics and terrorist attacks
(Neil: "It's hard to say if there's a link.").

- They were hoping for a screening/performance of Potemkin in Iran,
but the British Embassy and the British Council smashed the project in advance.

- Chris is now officially out.
Chris: "When we grew up we were able to lead a normal gay life,
others had already paved the way for us in the early Seventies. (...)
It didn't take us revolutionary energy anymore in order to be openly gay."

- They firmly believe pop music is influential enough to fight off
fascism and totalitarian systems.
Chris Lowe is gay?????

Oh my - what about a poll? Image

BTW:
Yesterday I tried to get this daily paper,
I could've scanned and post the picture
in here if it was a 'new' one. So I took
my bike and went to some book and pa-
per shops at the main train station ...
Unfortunately the shops have to send un-
sold papers back to the publishers imme-
diately, it was a sunday paper, so they've
sent back the unsold papers sunday eve-
ning, pity.
I should've bought it on sunday, but on
sunday I didn't realize for some reason
that it's been the sunday issue.
I could order that one but I think it's not
really worth this effort. Not for me becau-
se personally I'm not too keen on it. Any-
way, I have tried ...
