Yes it can only be found on the remix 12".
The Rough mix was remixed solely by Shep Pettibone, so that's why it wasn't included, I suspect. Although if we take that at face value, then I don't think that the Extended Dance mix of Always on My Mind should be on there either, as that is marked as being remixed solely by Julian Mendelsohn.
I think it is a flaw in the further listening discs, that some of these great mixes are missed off on the basis of PSB not being credited on them, and it does mean that running order can be frustrating, with the same song repeated in close order. So for example, on the Actually FL, we have 3 versions of Always on My Mind in the last 6 tracks, when it would have been much better to have had the Rough Mix of YKWYWW included, or some of the other great mixes that were missed off (Ian Levine It's A Sin, Shep Pettibone Heart, Francois Kervokian Rent, Shep Pettibone What have I done to deserve this?)

Yes I think it probably is a bit flawed. Looking a Geowayne's song credits, it's clear that some of the FL tracks didn't involved PSB. Additionally the running order is a bit suspect. Why is SEB at both ends of Disc 2 of Nightlife? Why put all three PSB mixes of Leaving consecutively? It makes for a weird listening experience.

Chronology: Actually, Further listening Track 13
B-side to Always On My Mind, and after the highs of the lead track, I was never initially too bothered about this track, but I have subsequently grown to really enjoy it.
Really pleased when they played it on the Pandemonium tour, and there is a brilliant little synth melody they add on the live version (between 0.15 and 0.30 on the audio cd) that is really great. Not sure why they cut out Chris' solo keyboard part at the start on the same cd though.

I love this song. My music teacher played a tape I got with the Always on my mind 12" on it but she accidentially played this track. She thought it was boring. I still can't wrap my head around that.

Mine just used to play hymns on the piano, and put me in detention for singing the wrong words to them !

Well, she wasn’t a fan. She was one of those boomer-woodstock people who hated electronic music.
I got another music teacher a year later and there we could bring our own favourite songs with us, every week we played some tracks of someone. I brought Opportunities and Rent and he thought it was mediocre. Those were the battles I had to face when I was young.

Yeah, love this track too. Remember playing it over and over again when I first got into them and thinking how incredible their b-sides were. Chris seems to have played more piano lines on tracks in the old days (like Jealousy and Later Tonight) and we saw how reluctant he was to play piano on the Imagine documentary. I wish he'd play it more.

That instantly recognisable start, and the exhilarating orchestral part after the second verse are still two of my all time favourite pieces of PSB music !
Horn and Lipson's production is just amazing.
One of the highlights of the Dreamworld show.

I’ve wondered if it was something to do with clearance for the James Brown samples in the rough mix.
