I lost my voice while singing along to the chorus in 2013. Did it again in 2016. Only after that I realized how much I love this song. Definitely in my Top 5.

Just a bad loser - the new B-Side from Pet Shop Boys.

It's weird to see Domino Dancing when they play it live these days as Neil tells his anecdote about their friends on holiday and then slaps his thigh while the audience sings along with him. Because it's actually a bloody dark song about infidelity and sexual jealousy. I always loved the way nature is used to reflect the protagonist's feelings - "threat of distant thunder, the sky was red" symbolising imminent danger and "hear the thunder crashing, the sky is dark and now a storm is breaking within my heart" at the end representing the emotional trauma. It's such a brilliant pop lyric, complemented by arguably their catchiest melody and a stunningly sexy video. Should have been number one for six weeks.

Not Fairlight samples, but they're taken from news snippets from the 1968 Paris student protests.

Fantastic song, at first I was surprised they recorded the song themselves, but it's such a great song, why wouldn't they?

I'm not scared - another Top 5 for me, even Top 3. Absolutely fantastic piece of music from start to finish. I was very glad to see and hear it live at the Electric tour gig.

One of my favourite psb tracks of all time - I love both their own version and the Eighth Wonder version, a really wonderful song. The psb version sounds older to me, although it was released after the EW version. I would have loved for some elements of the EW version to be included in the psb version as well, for example how the bass line plays a little melody instead of just the root note during the “if I was you…”.

A perfect example of musical class - it's something I've loved since I first heard it. It's the little things that sometimes mean the most.

Their most filmic track and should never have been given away to eighth wonder. Would have made a great PSB single.

A fine moment in the Performance tour with the spooky vibes

Love the 8th Wonder version. There's something slightly off-kilter about the rhythm and the delivery. The way the lyrics flow between "You'd keep them off our backs" and "Where do we have to be"... it's like the song is turning about as you listen to it. They do a similar thing in Wil-o-the-Wisp
