They all understand the Erasure part because they seem to get the musicality of it, but PSB seems to be some sort of island that only hardcore PSB fans seem to be on. It's very interesting to see that when I step into this forum, it's the only place PSB seem to rule. Sure, they may sell a few more copies here and there (still relatively low sellers), but there seems to be a real aversion to them when it comes to art. Simply put, the island you're on has a pandemic of schizophrenia.
s t e p h a n o, it's rather strange how you always describe Erasure in terms of their 'art' and yet simultaneously criticise PSB for their media profile, which is to a great extent due to their engagement with art.

'Art' for Erasure is recording a video whilst sitting on the toilet or the infamous Union Street drawings which are clearly the work of a particularly disturbed six year-old.

And for the last time, you are *not* a fan of PSB. Announcing this to your friends whilst wearing your rhinestone leotard is what caused them to gag.
Firstly, if you believe PSB's have a media profile due to art rather than promotional money, then I've lost hope in you as well.

Secondly, I am a fan of PSB - it's unfortunate you don't have the mental capacity to grasp that there may be people on here that perfer other bands. Certainly, I will stand up for the bands I favour, all while still being a fan of PSB.

Mind you, it becomes difficult to "sound like a fan" when you are attacked constantly by the three or four regulars here. I must really get under your skin - very enjoyable to watch.

I know, I know, the truth hurts, doesn't it? If it didn't, you would have ignored my warranted defenses to your paranoid offenses long ago.

The Loving Kind was released in the immediate wake of the album's release and was essentially promoting that, as most singles tend to do these days.

You know, like Always (2009 remix) was promoting Total Pop! Oh.
Yes, and if benefited from that freshness of the album. Could you imagine what would have happened if it was released later or in digital format only? It certainly wouldn't have gone top ten, but it would have charted higher than #197...

The sad thing is, that the more you keep saying that, the more you will believe it yourself.

Nobody believes you. You have done a pretty good job in making everyone think that way as well. You say you are here to defend Erasure. So how come you feel the need to go into numerous PSB threads and post negative remarks about virtually everything. Defending Erasure and being negative about PSB are two totally different matters. Infact, you could probably count on 1 hand the amount of postive comments you have made about PSB. Even the positive ones are tarnished by something negative, or an Erasure comment. Describing songs like 'The Way It Use To Be' as background music, proved you weren't a fan. Still, if you haven't got anything better to do than come on a forum of a band you are so negative about and manage to post near on 500 times, all the best to you. I suggest you try and get out a bit more. Maybe go visit those mates you spoke about. Their gay cruise must be over by now ;)

LMAO @ the Erasure forum. This just in from MisterMig ;-

''If they released Fingers and Thumbs, it would have taken the world by storm''

The radio would have played it and people would be saying ''have you heard that new Erasure song? Wow!''

Hi TwoHeadedSexBeast! I see you've made a comeback on the Erasure forum. You try to disguise but it shines all the way that it's you, Undertaker

If it was me, then whoopy doo lol. Not sure what the point of your post is/was. Then again, you can say that about all that you post ;)

Still, can't wait for the next Erasure single to storm the world

You're delusional. Accept that I like Erasure more than PSB and move on. I am a fan of both bands. It's simply you that can't accept another opinion that differs from your own. If you go back and look at my posts like the good little historian that you are, you will see that I only comment after someone makes a snide comment about Erasure.

You called the entire Nightbird album "nice background music" but you still call yourself a fan due to their older material. What a hypocrite. You can do it but I can't?

Funny that someone who's posted dozens of times more than me thinks I should get out more often.

Yes, I'm quite sure the few gay guys in the house you're staying at are representative of a nation of 300 million people, and the few days you've been here are comparable to a lifetime in multiple states. The fact of the matter is that Pet Shop Boys are considered an '80s band here, but you will never run into someone who hasn't heard of them. People still like to hear West End Girls on the radio. Their tours remain popular and their records sell. Nothing like the UK but it's something. By way of contrast Erasure are a complete non-entity. Nobody knows who they are. Nobody remembers them. A few old queens in the gay part of town might have a CD, but it ends there. It's just no contest, and the latest in a worrying string of examples showing your flight to fantasy. It's starting to get a little creepy, to be honest.
And if you for once read correctly, I stated "The Loving Kind" was a flop in relation to their other singles - for it to scrape into the top 10 when their other songs effortlessly own it.
There is no conceivable scenario in which a Top 10 single is a flop in relation to anything. Much less when it's a track already owned by the hundreds of thousands of people who previously bought the album. There's something very wrong with your brain and it's kind of depressing, so I'm just going to leave you to your games from this point. Try to get help. Or perhaps just a life.

You should visit the Erasure forum and see how many people from here do far worse, when they're not even fans. Now *that* is endlessly sad.

Is your life really that boring that you have to troll other forums looking for anti-Erasure comments?

He isn't the one trolling another bands' forum.

My point was that you don't have enough self-esteem to admit that both Undertaker and TwoHeaded are you. Are you worried they'll laugh at you here that you frequently visit the Erasure forum and pretend you're a fan? Pretty lame of you and how double-tongued actually....
