One of the crowd wrote:OK. Im a tad confused with the chart rules.

Have a look at..

http://www.theofficialcharts.com/docs/O ... ition9.pdf

And then make your own conclusions on how many tracks from CD1 can be on CD2!!

Especially when you read notes like...

"2.2 Albums
Simultaneous Release
Sales of two CD versions of an album released simultaneously, where one version is a limited edition featuring
additional material to the standard album version, will be combined provided:
The limited edition contains 100% of the tracks as featured on the standard version, and;
• The additional material on the limited edition CD format has not been previously available for purchase in its
entirety as a separate product"
'The limited edition' refers to BOTH CDs of the 2CD limited edition... therefore, this is just a farty way of saying that Fundamental/Fundamentalism MUSt contain all the tracks of Fundamental.

So the only restriction would seem to be that any material has not been previously available..

am I right?

not sure about the 80% thing..

I have read the rules now myself.

The 80% refers only to non simultaneous releases.

The 100% refers to simultaneous releases of standard CD and limited editions.

So the limited edition (One CD or Double CD) must have 100% of the normal CD. In the case of Fundamental the limited edition has two CD`s. So the 100% are reached because CD1 has 100% because it is the same like the standard CD.

So on the second CD can be material that was not released in it`s entirety as a seperate record.

So for example they could put some old B-sides old remixes together with some new material (remixes or new songs)on the CD2 the combination of this tracks were not released in its entirety as a seperate record before.

The additional material must not only made up of previously unreleased material. Its only viewed from its entirety.

I think i`m going to study chart regulations.

Btw, reading the rules about singles, my understanding is that a 7'', a Maxi CD and a Maxi DVD can be combined, so they can avoid releasing the bloody 2-track-10-bloody-minutes CD single.
