But how tawdry would it be if some random LB character suddenly appeared? I was pleasantly surprised by the video - it's very PSB. Once again we are invited to entertheir world.

Exactly. The thought of Lou and Andy dominating the comeback video of our stellar pop cosmonauts is enough to turn anybody to God. The Little Britain duo - humourous as they are to a point - are Lilliputians in comparison to our legendary heroes. This is a PSB video in which the PSBs are to be celebrated. Walliams is a fan - as proven by his embarrassing but fascinating car crash style infatuation during Liberation's Top of the Pops performance in 1994 - and is obviously living a fan's dream in creating a pastiche of classic PSB iconography. There's something touching about that. Add to the fact that he's an up and coming celebrity, his eager willingness to recreate the PSB world in his own comic style is heart-warming and hugely complementary to the influence of Tennant and Lowe.

After all, what would the shameless exploitation of a popular Little Britain character leading to a top three hit single really prove? This video will be very appealing to music stations in the UK. It will be rotated as much as any PSB video in recent years. It's up to the music - and the radio playlists - after that.

Drico.

Love it, love it, love it!!!!! :D

I was a little worried when I found out that no LB characters were gonna be in it but having now seen the video I'm kinda glad there's not! 8)
It would spoil the video if some LB characters suddenly popped up out of the blue.

Looking at the setting for the video, I wonder whether this was filmed in the old Arts Theatre?

Hideous in EVERY way. Will never watch it again.

..oh, and I'm with stupid is a great song but it really is just b-side material.

"I'm with stupid" is the correct choice for single (according to most of reviewers), only Integral is better song. So, if I'm with stupid is a b-side all the songs of Fundamental are b-sides material (except Integral).

It's hideousness was it's strength.

As for lack of LB potential, it was practically a LB sketch. LB fans will still respond well to it. It's Lucas and Walliams. They seem to do no wrong and appear to be going through an imperial phase of their own.

I liked the fact that Walliams' teeth were bad.

It was also interesting that they looked like prisoners in their orange costumes and with the background, prior to the pointy hats being lowered onto their heads.

I like Matt's eyes when they take the pointy hat off his head and when he almost falls over when they wheel his keybaords away.

I love it at the end where David goes "We Love You" Hahaha

I agree that this is much better than if it had LB characters in it.

BRAVO, NEIL, CHRIS, DAVID & MATT.

It's equal parts silly & serious and loads of fun.

One small quibble ----- Matt plays the keyboard way more than Chris ever has
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...
