the interesting thing is that I've got some friends who're NOT petheads who love Minimal. they think it's an awesome tune. unfortunately, they're part of a minority, apparently.

I agree with a lot of people on this board in that it doesn't really matter that much anymore. whether or not they do top 10 or 20 or even 40, their music will last forever (unlike most of those infesting the top 10 right now).
I wooooooooooooooood if I cooooooood...

Interesting discussion.
Personally I dont care about chart placings even though I'd like PSB to be really popular again, but thats only may be so the general public could discover some of the incredible pop music Neil and Chris have given us for years.
We know it... they know it...so does it matter if it doesnt chart?

I love Numb and think it could cut across more radio formats as a single.
Its a smart savvy person who can predict any hit in pop and dance now, as distribution, access and internet have changed things so much.

I'd love to see Numb with Bright Young Things or For All of Us as b-sides and even a new track.

PSB inspire and delight me almost every day with their music. :D

Why waste space with things we all already have? They should take advantage of Numb to either remix an AA side like Integral or pack it with the many tracks still unreleased from the Fundamental sessions.

If the PSB want to release the stuff that's already leaked, they could do much worse than give us a Christmas CD through the fanclub collecting it. Saint Etienne has done this so many times I've lost count.

I was thinking something along the lines of the Beatmasters 7" for I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing or the Jam & Spoon mix of Young Offender...

PSB recording Numb is like Mövenpick starting to make shit-flavoured chocolate ice cream, because their previous chocolate ice cream was favoured by too small a clientele.
You can argue all you want. It's been said that this song has more appeal than anything else on the album. Get over it.

probably the best argument on here - Get over it!!! I agree everyone loves it If PSB dont appear in the video itll do well!
