As a concerned individual, i ask how you are, and not only am i ignored, but you miss quote me, ME, of all people, who kept getting "told off" for missquoting and then spent a long time recently trying to workout this websites stupid quoting system, i get miss quoted.Naughty Zoot wrote:Dreamcatcher2003 wrote:No worries. Too bad...what is left to say?
However, the point I was really aiming for is that this song is actually a very strong attempt to put into words how you feel at a very dark time. And I know we've all been / are / will be there sometime in our lives.
I applaud N&C for doing this song. They've written some pretty serious songs but nothing as bleak as this.
What have i done to deserve this, I wana be Numb

Numb is currently Number 1 in my chart...See the Chart that does'nt count from last August.
Over the last year I've had After All, DJ Culture, Rent & Numb at number one, I'm thinking of putting I Made My Excuses & Left to the top next...unless there's a greater song from Disco 4 coming out to stop it!
I won't bore you with the complete Top Forty so I'll bore you with the top ten instead...
1 Numb (3M)
2 After All (8M)
3 DJ Culture (47M)
4 I Made My Excuses & Left
5 West End Girls (2M)
6 Young Offender
7 Rent (19M)
8 It's Alright (12M)
9 It Could'nt Happen Here
10 Being Boring (2M)
M= Previous months at number one (284th Chart)

Oh, dear, I seem to be making a mess of my contribution to this thread.pet shop boy wrote:Naughty Zoot wrote:As a concerned individual, i ask how you are, and not only am i ignored, but you miss quote me, ME, of all people, who kept getting "told off" for missquoting and then spent a long time recently trying to workout this websites stupid quoting system, i get miss quoted.Dreamcatcher2003 wrote: No worries. pet shop boy :: Please accept my apologies for making you feel ignored. That was not my intention. I had read both your posts & I was & still am touched by your concern. I didn't take your 1st post as a flippant reply at all & so, when I saw your 2nd reply, I figured I'd address that one since you seemed more uncomfortable at that point.
I had hoped my reply:: No worries. I'm actually handling this pretty well. My earlier post hit me at a particualrly low moment & now I feel a bit sheepish about the overly dramatic post. :: would have adressed your concern but I guess not. So I'm sorry again for not being clearer about the fact that your kindness was appreciated & I'm fine.
I hope we're still on good terms & I'll be more careful in my replies from here on.
I like it here ~~ wherever it is ...

Sorry to hear about your Mom.Naughty Zoot wrote:Numb.
One of the MOST EVOCATIVE PSB songs EVER.
Don't discount it because it may not mean anything to you @ the moment ...
BUT --- SOME DAY IT WILL.
I know of what I speak because my Mom is dying.
And - frequently:
I WANT TO BE NUMB ~~~~~~~
I agree with you that for some, although it may not mean anything at the moment, one day it may.
Sadly, my day for this track arrived on Friday when our cat was killed by a neighbour's dog
I've been listening to Numb a lot this week.
