I think that new champion of PL will be Man City.

Rovers season and place in the Championship is going down to the wire. The Birmingham result tonight has helped. Can't see us getting more than a point away at Leicester, so hoping Birmingham lose again and then we can't be touched.

I don't go to many away games as I can't afford to do home and away, but Leicester isn't too far away and I couldn't resist going after initially deciding not to go. Got my ticket today.

It'll either be a great, or terrible drive home!

So, Rovers didn't score and Birmingham drew. Relegated.

Football became unimportant though at the end at Leicester yesterday as I watched a Rovers fan 30 feet away from me collapse and receive CPR for 15 minutes or more. Sadly, he didn't make it.

Disregard the bit about this happening after hearing Birmingham had equalised - it's a fanciful and incorrect quote the press have latched on to. Birmingham were still losing when the poor chap collapsed.

Did anyone watch the match of Liverpool last day?

I was shocked to find out he was only 42 (yes, a similar age to many of us on the forum), he looked older so I assumed he was 50 something until I read more later. 42 is way too young.

It's certainly not something I want to have to see happen again. From the fans around him, desperately trying to beckon stewards / St.John's only to be ignored for what felt like an eternity (I suspect the stewards initially thought the Rovers fans were gesturing our players to get forward), to the slow ascent of the St.John's staff up the stand, then the 15 minutes of constant CPR, with what I think must have been his daughter close by, distraught and in floods of tears, all going on whilst the match went on as normal - the whole thing just seemed surreal, but sadly it was reality and the longer it went on the more you knew the chap wasn't likely to make it.

Seeing a fellow fan dying in front of me, it certainly made the ongoing match, the result and relegation completely unimportant and irrelevant. Life goes on for Rovers in League 1 next season, but for the family of this Rovers supporter life has been turned upside down, all whilst watching a game of football.
