Listened to half the album and its decent actually. A bit unlucky not to be number 2 but apart from Killers, those sales are atrocious.
That is pretty unlucky. s t e p h a n o has probably ordered a recount.

How many did Hotspot sell in week 1?
Almost 16,000. And less formats than the Neon.

Some of them were released the same week as huge albums as for example Bad, Rattle And Hum, and Rhymth Of The Saints (Paul Simon)

Yes, and Royal Arena in Denmark. It has a capacity of 16,000. Last time they played there 10,000 were in attendance.

Andy has admitted that he was a bit jealous of Neil and Chris, and he felt that Erasure didn’t get the same respect. Although I like Erasure, I understand why they didn’t get the same respect.

Andy: "It's just a backing track with any old vocals slapped on top".
He's just described the last 30 years of Erasure output. They don't even hide it, that is how they work!

How on earth can Vince call Actually dreadful? It's certainly no Union Street - that's for sure!
I sometimes feel sorry that Erasure never received their due for being such a great pop group in the late 80s/early 90s but comments like that are so preposterous that it does seem born of jealousy. No matter how good Erasure singles were, most critics always preferred PSB - and ultimately so did the public. And whereas PSB have evolved over the last few decades, Erasure seem precisely the same as they were in 1985 - only with worse lyrics.
