Not sure if it's just one of things where something randomly gets entered as a placeholder or whatever while things are a bit up in the air, but the Thames & Hudson site now has March 2026 as the release date for Volume:
Obviously this would be quite annoying (and not very 'PSB at 40' etc) although I suppose it would at least give them time to get all the materials for the next album campaign in there.
It probably isn't this date though. It probably isn't! Unless it is.
Looks like it’s covering 1984 to 2024 so I’m hoping the new album will be included so no reason to assume it can’t be released at the same time. Smaller format but more pages obviously. Catalogue is a bit of a whopper but still love to get it out occasionally

Weird pastime, looking at images by somebody else's imagination when one, as a human, is fully capable of making one's own images. The PSB artwork has always been about the concept, never the artistic quality. If'd take a picture of the trees in my garden and attached to an album called Lifestyle it would be just as "profound" and "conceptual" as the PSB stuff. Nevertheless, I enjoy "their earlier stuff" but from Elysium and onward the album artwork hasn't really garnered any interest or excitement in me. Their concert outfits on the other hand have been something to raise one's eyebrows for... sometimes.

Not really. Art is as old as humanity itself. Appreciating art by "somebody else's imagination" is a fundamental part of human nature, probably intrinsically linked to our essence as social animals.

Indeed. Art galleries and museums like Tate Modern and The Louvre are full of "somebody else's imagination" and are visited and enjoyed by millions of people around the world.
There is beauty in ugliness and ugliness in beauty.
