This is an interesting piece. I'm fairly confident I won't be buying this (3 formats including Ltd vinyl) but the concept does intrigue me.

It didn't really grab me. Perhaps we've been spoiled by past arrangements like Jealousy, It Couldn't Happen Here, and dare I say it... even Legacy.

Sometimes it looks like he's just standing there but never under-estimate the importance of Chris Lowe to this musical partnership.

The interview's focused on Mr. Springer's overall practice rather than purely about this album. I've skipped through it and the brief references to Neil, such as they are, seem to concentrate around the 45-47 min mark.

Neil's posted a photo of the CD booklet and you can see the lyrics for a couple of the pieces. "My friend the Monster" reads like a companion piece to "Through you", and even has the lines "It's not enough to win, others must lose". Intriguing!

I don't like to think of PSB in the same way I do New Order (on their own - Sumner's projects, Hooky's projects and The Other Two - they're not as good as the sum of their parts as a band) but concede I tend to be less exited with N&C's individual side projects than I am when they're working together.

In truth I'd love to hear a full solo album by Chris. I think that could be something quite special.
