I think so. It was the very last one so you had to have your PSB club membership timed right to the end to get it. Goes for £100+ whenever it appears on eBay now.

I actually think there could be some mileage in producing Chris' head hanging lampshades as per Yesterday, when I was mad

Oh, just last week, actually with Disco 5...

I quite like the designs. That's nice it's sold out, people like these and want them.
It's a bit of an obscure early 90's music reference with bold colours, why not.

By the way in addition to Kraftwerk, Devo also did skateboards.
Devo of course being the inspiration for the Very-era Go West helmets.

The folding fans were pretty similar in the realm of odd merch items.
Before that, wrapping paper. Tea set has been mentioned too.
Oh, and the Disco 5 slip mat. Surely these items were equally underwhelming.

I’m in!
You’ll be strapped in more like ☺️
Strapped up, strapped in, wear the vest!

What we're seeing is a broader cultural embrace of the Pet Shop Boys, with things tailored for different audiences. There's a huge skateboard-as-art community that collects boards, displays them on their walls as art objects etc. We should be chuffed this community has taken an interest. This is like Zara doing fashion shirts, Anti Social Social Club doing hoodies etc. These things represent the Pet Shop Boys being invited into new spaces, not Pet Shop Boys fleecing existing fans.
I fully agree, and I gladly welcome more quirky unexpected merchandise items. PSB guitar picks? PSB branded drum sticks? Phone cases, inflatables, scarves, posters, socks. Who cares.
These skateboards were a massive win, selling out within 3 hours clearly shows there's no debate needed about whether these were worthwhile making. That's a good point about this being PSB entering another space opposed to serving their own core fanbase.

Mine have arrived. They were well packaged, and shrink-wrap sealed which is nice. Numbered with a sticker (that they broke the seal to apply).

These will look great on a wall. Glad I bought them.
