I love Agenda and Fundamental. I've actually been listening to Agenda a lot for the past weeks, so 2028 can't come soon enough. I wish they worked a bit faster...
Ps: New show in Chile has just been announced. It seems they're treating them well there.

Is there anything you guys would change?
Chris (I think!) Our men!
Laughter from Neil...
Chris says “Our NAME”!
Yeah, Chris still has regrets.

Great interview, thanks for sharing!

Great interview. They both sounded on incredibly good form. News about A man from the future and a new album was great. It sort of suggests they will spend this year writing and next year recording and then release it in spring 2028, keeping the 4 year tradition between studio albums.
I do wonder whether, in between all that, we finally get a run of Naked in 2027?

2028 seems so far away.
Chris saying he would have changed their name - yeah Chris, we wish you did too. The embarrassment felt saying you liked the Pet Shop Boys in 1986 was real! PSB was a guilty pleasure for me for quite some time. Thankfully you kept going and make us feel exonerated all these years later.

If you can't take this coming from your favourite band, well then you have been infected with overwhelming ideology, preventing you from analysing reality
"Anyone see that new Woodsy Allen movie?" "You know, I like his films except for that nervous fellow who's always in them"

2028 is so far away. And given they usually push back their releases, we can be talking about 2029.

Greetings,
Thanks. That would suggest A Man From The Future has been recorded and is "in the can" then.
(Apologies if that's "old news" - I haven't read an Annually for a while)

That is only a recent thing with Hotspot and Nonetheless and perhaps Fundamental which was two decades ago now, though it does appear to be the norm now,

Please - Disco = same year
Actually = 1 y
Introspective = 1 y
Behaviour = 2 y
Very = 3 y but had Discography in between and came with bonus album Relentless
Bilingual = 3 y but had both Live in Rio, Disco II and Alternative inbetween
Nightlife = 3 y but had Somewhere ans Essential inbetween
Release = 3 y but had Closer To Heaven album inbetween
Fundamental = 4 y but had Disco 3, Popart and Battleship Potemking inbetween
Yes = 3 y but had Concrete and Disco 4 inbetween
Elysium = 3 y but had Pandemonium Live, Christmas, Ultimate, Format and The Most Incredible Thing inbetween
Electric = 1 y
Super = 3 y
Hotspot = 4y but had Inner Sanctum Live, Agenda and Musik other stuff inbetween
Nonetheless = 4 y but had My Beautiful Laundrette, Smash, Lost, Live in Rio DVD, Relentless re-release and came with bonus EP Furthermore
Oh and I don't have the energy to add all video releases.
Conclusion: There is more material from PSB released inbetween albums than the actual albums. That's an insight.
New Album = 4 y but will have Disco 5, A Man From The Future

It's now mid-August and no news on this. Given that they usually announce things a couple of months or so in advance, it is getting on a bit for a release this year.
