I saw Little Britain on tour the other week and they were fantastic, if it's true it's definately good news for Neil & Chris and Neil has been pictured out with Walliams quite a bit of late. Not too sure about The Stonk for a song title unless it's really funny.

I very much doubt it'll be seen as a shamelessly gay video. Lou and Andy are seemingly the two most likely to appear in it. The sun did try to mention the only gay in the village but this was their usual gutter press. It's sad to see the psb solely portrayed as gay icons. Most people i know who went to see the nightlife tour were there in the hope of seeing paninaro live and were mainly ur football fan variety.

My other worry is that Little Britain is recieving some poor reviews of their new series, hopefully they'll still be as popular when the single comes out, you know how fickle the british public are.

The problem i see with Little Britain are some of the characters only work once. Ting Tong didn't work last night and i wish they would lose that shopkeeper. I'm not too keen on the diet class either. They should never have gotten rid of the young guy and his lust for that old women.

I'm not sure how they get away with the WA sketches witht that wome nbeing sick all the time but it is one of my favourites.

The problem with Little Britain is the same as with any catchphrase based show in that the sketches become repetitive and end up with nowhere else to go. The best characters like Lou and Andy work because there's a depth to them which the weaker ones lack - why is Andy so deceitful towards his long-term carer? (And the homoeroticism, of course.

)

The same thing happened with The Fast Show where Ted and Ralph had a profound sense of pathos which allowed the sketch to evolve beyond the catchphrase.

The only thing I remember from that Liberation apperance on TOTP was the guy who was miming passionately to the song. I thought "What a lunatic" as Neil did so. After 1995, internet became popular and then PSB forums, I always thought that lunatic on TOTP was one of us forum members, little knowing that one day I'd become a huge fan of that lunatic. Who's laughing now?
