Actually it is a common misunderstanding among many members here that New York city boy was a flop. This seems to be based on people's personal dislike of the song.

In fact, it is probably their biggest radio hit outside of the UK since Go West. It is the song that most non-fans tend to remember so it is quite logical that it gets mentioned in the programme.

That's true. But I think a lot of non-fans here in the UK remember "Se a vida é" so I was surprised that wasn't mentioned.

Was nice to see previously unseen clips of Heart & Nothing has been proved from the 1989 tour as well.

Seeing clips from the 1989 tour brought back great memories. I think we've waited too long for that concert to be released fully.

Brilliant program. Did skip over loads of stuff but then again, how do you fit in twenty years into one hour. Roll on the DVD.

Half the stuff was mentioned because the program was only about 40 minutes long. The only thing that bored me was that squarking cow singing friendly fire. Someone needed to go shove a sock in her mouth.

Someone posted mentioning the 1996 Radio 1 documentary. Strangely enough, this doocumentary is still very vivid in my mind. (I even remember listening to it on the bed).

It did feel as though it was constructed from an American perspective though. For instance, that American radio dj talking about West End Girls and saying how Can you forgive her? wasn't played over there.

Yes, it's surprising that Very was ignored. (Second-hand info since I haven't seen the documentary myself yet.) I guess we can only hope that it will be covered in the expanded DVD edition scheduled for autumn release.

I certainly talked about it during my interview.

It was pretty cool to hear that early demo from Neil. Robbie was a tit, as always. Has anyone else noticed how everything he says, even when when he's talking about someone else, is always actually about himself and how hard it is being Robbie? 'Behaviour', apparently, wrapped him in a widdle fluffy wuffy ball where he was safe from the outside world. Poor baby! Diddums! Even his 'Are they gay?' comment appeared to be more of a reference to his own recent and obviously self-created is-he-or-isn't-he? tabloid speculation.

Am I really going to have to purchase a Robbie album in the near future?

Oddly enough, old tit-head (as opposed to tit-face) from Keane was the best contributor (Wayne outstanding, of course... Hey! Why didn't they ask me? I've got a good analytical mind, an opinion and a great arse, if I do say so myself). He was very clear about what made them special. Unlike matey from The Killers who, in spite of constantly referencing them in interview, clearly hadn't heard a PSB song since about 1988 and appeared to have just been confronted with the English language for the first time ever.

Worst of all though, the program appeared to have had the mid-section amputated out meaning that there was absolutely no mention of Disco 2!??!?! What were they thinking?

Good observation. When he was praising Neil's voice he also managed to make it about himself.
