Nothing too exciting.
Let's hope that at least the demo is different enough, 'Party song' is good, 'Bright young things' introduces some changes from the leaked version, and the 'Psychological' remix is better than their last remixes.
The acapella is a nice addition: we are not given any official 'Numb' remixes, but many unofficial ones will be done thanks to it.

Now this is something I don't get.
Why release 2 singles off an album that include a DVD single and then release a 3rd withone one???

Woot, so I was right (well, the poster on PJ) about the tracklistings bar the 12"
I think the Numb (original demo) will be the 2003 version they recorded for PopArt.
Personally, I would've liked a DVD. Oh well

Don't forget the New Radio Edit of Numb, which technically brings the new tracks total to 4 out of 5. Hell, throw in the BBC version of West End girls for good measure & this release has enough original PSB material in it to land it in the Top 10 based on fan support alone.
And I will eat my hat if this single only sells to the fan base.
Numb WILL land in the Top 10 -- maybe even the Top 5.

Hmm, at least vinyl is pure audio format, unlike DVD. This is the logic I like (releasing songs on audio carrier (sp?), not on the one that's been primarily intended for video).
Also, in technical sense of sound processing/reproduction, digital can't beat analogue (even though a casual listener usually doesn't notice / care about the difference, especially as digital technologies get better), so vinyl hardly can be called outdated.

You can be sure there are more people out there today with DVD players than turntables...
I have both, but if a lot of people was angry because you can´t play a DVD on a CD player, for sure you can´t play a vinyl there neither... (altough today I play all my CDs on my DVD player connected to a 5.1 surround sistem, so the DVD format is perfect for me, even more if we get the video on the best possible quality)
A bad move IMHO...
I love the vinyl format too, but if we have the first two on DVD, not releasing Numb this way is a nonsense...

Every single person I know has the ability to play a CD. I literally don't know a single person with a record player and haven't actually seen one outside a club in years. Vinyl is an outdated format and by exclusively releasing material on it the PSB are encouraging piracy and alienating a fanbase that is, let's face it, already on life support.
You have people here who are among their most ardent fans stating on a public forum that they're not going to buy outdated technology and will instead opt for the illegal download. If their
fans are saying this it's a sign that something somewhere has gone horribly awry. The PSB is driving away their own fanbase and that's more than stupid. It's suicidal.
