Your trying to call our effort cheap, even though Norway got a Belarusian to represent them and i wonder what countries surround Belaruse and i wonder what scores all those countries gave Norway so thats an garenteed 56 point head start 76 if you count Norway's bordering countries votes

First of all it is not Belaruse, it is Belarus. At least you can check it up on Internet.

Secondly could you read properly without skipping some lines? I called it cheap and lazy when the national broadcaster of a country assigns a popular name to write a Eurovision song for a guaranteed success (but this kind of success comes once in a blue moon unfortunately). Turkey has been doing it for almost ten years and if I am not wrong this is what UK did this year so I think I am quite fair. I may be wrong in my opinion but I am not a biased nationalist dogma. And I rather applaud young talents to participate in the show like Abba, like Bucks Fizz, like Sandra Kim Just check my post again.

Secondly you cannot ignore the politics and neighborhood relations in the contest. Let me tell you the countries that 12 points are guaranteed for Turkey: Azerbaijan (obviously), France, Belgium, Switzerland and England (many Turkish people living in these countries and attacking their mobile phones million times). This dampens all the excitement. You almost know who will give what points to you and who will not regardless of how bad or good your song is.

Even Ireland announcer said ten points to "our great neighbor United Kingdom". So much for a balanced and objective voting system.

Unless voting system changes and songs improve, the contest will always remain as a second-rate one.

Armenian girl was quite tasty, as was the Turkish one....... most of the music was pony though. Leona, I mean Jade, only got to number five. Oh well that's an improvement.

Since Cyprus is divided into a Greek and a Turkish part - shouldn't the country give high points to Turkey as well as they always give 12 points to Greece? And how comes Cyprus sends only "Greek" entries to ESC and never "Turkish"?

My favourites in the finals this year:
Finland
Norway
Greece
Denmark

And my least favourite was Turkey.

It's sad how we ended up being the last. If the female singer hadn't catched a cold when performing for the jury we would have gotten far more points. We had absolutely one of the best.

Thanks for your answer, it cleared up some confusion.

Anyway I think it's a bit strange. The Turkish people on Cyprus are not allowed to vote for their own country (Turkey) - but the Greek Cypriots can still vote for Greece? So in reality they are the only ones who are allowed to vote for themselves in the ESC! Of course the Greek Cypriots could vote for Turkey anyway, but maybe they just don't...
