Jeffrey Donaldson (MP in NI) spent 410 pounds on special, and I quote, "security drapes" , that are heavier than normal drapes, the best part was that he installed the drapes in his flat in London, Greenwich. Like his home is going to be under siege there.

"Look jeffrey they are coming, quick wrap yourself in those fine drapes which you purchased with tax payers money"

I dunno, there are a lot of pirates around Greenwich.

Am I missing something here? First Blears and now Purnell, two ministers with highly questionable expenses claims, rewarding Gordon for not sacking their asses by knifing him in the back.

We should take adopt a law like they have in Thailand ... Even if there's no evidence that a law has been broken or offence committed, you can still be done for being "unnaturally wealthy" if you can't prove that your money has come from legitimate means.

You've already disgraced yourself with your verging on the fraudulent expenses claims/ dodgy 2nd home mortgage benefits, and then you try to paint yourself as some sort of quirky rebel...you have no shame you daft bint. Get out of my face.

My thoughts exactly on Blears. It was planned, disgusting behaviour on her part and to go as far as to make sure she was are photographed wearing the 'Rocking the boat' brooch, that's just taking the p*ss. Spiteful, childish cow. The behaviour is no worse than a school child running off with the ball because he or she owns it. I suspect it won't be the last we hear from her either.

I couldn't have lived with myself if I'd have protest voted or not voted yesterday. I made the short journey to the Polling station (which was very hard work on crutches, let me tell you!) and voted Labour twice. I don't expect it will have made any difference, but at least I can still say I have never sold out my principles.

Blears is a piece of work, isn't she? How can she pretend to be taking some kind of moral high ground? We all know she fiddled her capital gains tax and was going to be fired by Gordon Brown in the re-shuffle.
