Almost the same scenario as in Russia-Croatia. England scored first, 1-1, then +30 minutes and the difference we lost in penalties.

Gutted, absolutely gutted. By far the better team in the first half, but then Croatia took us apart. Take some time to get over this.

Croatia's magical half-time team talks. Hoping we can go all the way now, last chance for many of this generation (especially Modrić).

England's record is rather mid-table, considering Gareth Southgate is going to be knighted and the players will be holding open bus parades across the country to display the World Cup they won.

Well, England is number 4, it's good, no famous players, no Messi or Ronaldo in the team... Brazil, Germany, Spain - they left Russia with nothing. I think Belgium had to win this Cup, they played very good even against France, but... As I know people think France will win... Let's see. We all need miracles. I regret fans will left us and we will stay with... all this shit again. Thanks to all fans who visit my city, because I know they liked it. This Cup for us was very useful.

Isn't the parade + airport welcome cancelled? I don't really think England over-achieved, as some say - they should have done better with the talent they have on disposal.
Hoping for a close game tomorrow, I think it's going to be a very tough and defensive game with not plenty of goals. Both teams are going to play for defense first, then the win - France are cautious because they've burned themselves already 2 years ago against Portugal, while Croatia (probably) know this is their single best chance ever, in the next 10 years or so, to become world champions.
Would be a proper send-off for the likes of Modrić, Mandžukić, Rakitić - should they decide to retire from the national team after this World Cup. I think a more realistic option is they will retire after EURO 2020, but for sure this is their last chance at a World Cup title.

I agree with the penalty decision, but this was shite.

I agree with the penalty decision, but this was shite. He falls ages before he is actually touched.
Can't help but feel robbed a bit after this, after all Croatia was the better team for at least 60% of the time - but France's quality shone in their quick counters and after 3-1 and especially 4-1 it was silly to hope for a turnaround.
It's still sinking in but this is our biggest ever World Cup result, but I just can't help feeling we could have actually gone all the way.
P.S. Yes, I'm greedy - I fully expected us to fail to go past the group stages, but after the Argentina demolition I started hoping for a miracle - today I hoped for gold, instead it was silver - but with a golden shine.

England did well with what they have. We desperately needed a centre mid who can play. If Modric was in an England shirt, we'd have won.
In the end, Kane looked shattered and was simply starved of any service. England are quite easy to stop but its still a World Cup Semi Final.
VAR certainly makes a difference if its used properly. The best teams dont get their own way anymore. Germany, Argentina, Spain and Brazil all shocking. Neymar is the most embarrassing player ive ever seen. The final VAR decision though was never a penalty.
A good World Cup with very few boring games. Especially once we got rid of Spain and their sideways, sideways, backwards, sideways football.

World Cup was good in my country. Now you can watch how police treat to people who protest against Putin.
It's a fresh. Welcome to Russia;)

People were just dealt the right way I would say, take it as a game not a matter of life or death.
