I actually get more nervous when having a physical ticket - nervous it getting lost in the mail and nervous about forgetting to bring it or losing it

I saw the Obscure in Camden, and Obskur was an instant purchase for me. I purchased the physical tickets, which have already arrived in the United States already this week. I was out and about in Seoul when I saw this on Facebook, and purchased it on my phone right away, for fear of it selling out. I did not bother to translate the German, so I was not aware I was buying physical tickets. I certainly do not mind the cost. I am not sure I will be able to keep the tickets safe - maybe I will bring a hard plastic toploader to put them in!

Seeing it in Camden, with so many great and rare songs, was an incredible experience. A lot of entitled behavior from fans, like raising their phones high above their heads (face level is fine, so it doesn't obstruct others views), and more that I won't get into.

I’m surprised that the tickets for Monday night are still not sold out. It looks like there are 9 tickets left.

They should take Obscure to Chile. The tickets would sell out within an hour. The Germans don't seem to be nearly as enthusiastic about this show. Even though Germany is their second home, the audience's affection for them appears to be much weaker there.

20,000 Germans have just flogged out over €130 for Dreamworld at the Waldbühne. Berlin is not a wealthy city. That's a huge part of its charm. It's not a huge surprise these subsequently announced Obscure dates in the same city have been slowish sellers. They've basically saturated the market. To be fair to the promoters, they've done it well as everything has sold out. To be fair to the Berliners, they know when they're being soaked.

Plus, Germany is in the midst of a financial crisis now going on 3+ years with no end in sight.

I know and I understand it, and I also know what it’s like to live in a financially poor country. I’m Hungarian; we have never been a wealthy country. There has recently been a change of government, which seems to be moving in a better direction, but even so it will still take many years to change the direction and way of life.
Pet Shop Boys have visited us several times, always to almost full houses. The last time was in 2022.
I just don’t want slower ticket sales to discourage the guys; maybe they are planning more Obscure shows. Even if not as many as Dreamworld, it would be great if they performed it somewhere every two or three months — it would be good for them and for us fans too.

I don't think there is any danger of discouragement. You need to remember the Berlin dates sold out. On top of the 20,000 Dreamworld tickets. They'll be delighted with such commercial success. There won't be many markets worldwide that could sustain such saturation. Even I found it overkill. That Obsure was slower to sell out than in London is no surprise for many legitimate reasons. Berlin was always likely to be city number two, after London, if they had plans to tour Obsure. It's basically their continental fiefdom and the Germans are major enthusiasts of all things PSB, naturist, and David Hasselhoff. I suspect you could count on one hand how many cities they could bring Obscure to. It probably helps that they had a Dreamworld show a few days before...

On the official site there is an interesting picture of the rehearsals for the upcoming Obskur shows in Germany. Simon is holding a paper titled Obskur Sunday setlist. Although mirrored and a little bit blurry, you can identify some of the songs, especially towards the end of the show. As expected no major changes compared to the Electric Ballroom concerts

Reading through the set list makes me envious of those lucky people who are going to hear the debuts of Yesterday when I was Urologist and Smoke Off a Hi-Prep Tomorrow.

I'm happy they'll play Miserablism

I cannot recognize anything from that setlist's photo (except of encore songs - which are always the same). Is there really a Miserablism's trace?

I can read it. Yes Miserablism is there!

I had a really close look at the setlist and compared it to the previous one.
From what I gather, it's the exact same from track 13 onwards. The first half of the setlist, although illegible we can see the words fit the same shape and title lengths.
Only part I'm unsure of is in the middle, Sexy Northerner and In His Imagination may have been swapped out.
