Great night in Belfast, crowd was a bit subdued for Dave Pearce and there was a lot of sitting down until Always On My Mind and then everyone lost their shit and got into the swing of things!
Paninaro did not have any regional embellishments, that was just a gift to Manchester!
I've never seen them stay on so long at the end after BB on this tour, they seemed to enjoy basking in the adoration!
Fans got a little wave from Neil in the car at the end, but the driver didn't hang around, don't blame him
Met some lovely folks as always, onwards to the ROH!
Where were you sitting?! It's just I was in the front row, and everybody in the front few rows seemed to be up from it for the start. I checked again and Always on my mind was 18 songs into the gig, so it definitely didn't take that long for us folks at the front to get going! I did notice people sitting down in the stands of the arena more so until well into the gig. I don't doubt that it was different elsewhere in the arena though. However, having just heard Chris on Tracks Of My Years on Radio 2, maybe we shouldn't have been standing at all! If I picked him up correctly, he seemed to suggest it was bad form to be standing all the time at a seated gig, and people should only stand for the encore....
I was in row 8, there were a few pockets of sitters behind the front few rows and I know there was a bit of a barney between standers and sitters elsewhere on the front row. I only sat down for A New Bohemia because I was knackered
I did hear Chris this morning, but as he said himself, he was just being a grump.
I also want to apologise for all the exclamation marks, I was clearly still pished.
