Notwithstanding my ignorance that Patrick Stewart and Chas Smash have formed a synthpop duo, only 101 questions? nickname and psb-freak could knock that up in an afternoon. Did the 'author' just get bored typing stuff into ChatGBT?

Very much my thoughts. A Hi-NRG foreshadowing of Very. I would have been delighted for Very to have quietly leant further into Behaviour’s lushness, but it was not to be.

Would fit om Relentless. Adding Some Spec and Euroboy to it as well would make Relentless experimental and awesome.

The Chris Lowe mix would have been a perfect fit for Relentless. Playing the Ambient Mix now and its certainly taken me back to the heady clubby days of the early 90s. Oh Yeah!

the double CD format would suit them, make it a bipolar/contrasting release. Except it's just a cliche to say Chris is the high energy one and Neil orchestral - Behaviour was Chris' push, after all. But a "two rooms" setup would be fun

Track 63: "Can You Forgive Her?"

Very, the 5th album released in September 1993 (32 years ago ).

First track, it was the first single and on first hearing it, I felt it plodded along too much and sounded a bit harsh to my ears.

The first time I heard Can you forgive her? was when I saw the video on MTV. It was one of the most thrilling and happiest moments of my life. I still love everything about it.

I also do remember the first time I heard it. I heard it on the radio and it was the longest time between their previous single so finally hearing something from them was a good time. At that time I already strayed away from PSB (Behaviour didn't work well for me) and leaned into the more avant-garde type of music but hearing such a "vintage" Pet Shop Boys sounding track filled me with joy.

I remember hearing it before it was released as a new track on Steve Wright in the Afternoon show. He introduced it as, and this is word for word, "The not at all over produced new pet shop boys single".

One night in 1993, I was having a few drinks with my friends at a bar. I had no idea Pet Shop Boys were going to release anything new; those were different times. Times when it was much harder to find out about things. I don't remember what was playing. But it wasn't the videos playing on the bar's TV; I imagine it was some kind of MTV show.
At one point, I thought I saw Neil dressed up as something out of the corner of my eye. I got closer, and sure enough, it was them. I started looking around a little desperately... but there was nothing I could do. I spent the next 3 or 4 minutes staring like a fool at a muted TV, frustrated because I couldn't hear what was obviously their new single, which I imagined was coming with a new album. I spent the next day glued to the radio, hoping they'd play it so I could listen to it.
Great song... I'd rather not talk about the video.
