Yes, I read that, but I wonder what counts when it comes to chart rules... Perhaps some expert knows?

I don't have the "I Get Along" DVD-single at hand here, but I don't remember the E-mail part of the video being mentioned on the sleeve. Yet the DVD-single wasn't chart-eligible because of that addition to the I get along-video....

Like I said, a 2-track CD single has to conform to 2 main criteria

1) No more than 2 tracks
2) A playing time of 10 minutes or less.

The Official Charts Company sometimes lets acts get away with it, sometimes not. It depends if anyone tells them...

Promo wise, I am So glad the 7" edit is on the CD single - already got the full mix on the US CD - so happy to have both amazing PSB mixes on CD rather than vinyl!

I get the impression from the other comments that the PSB 7" edit is NOT actually on the UK CD single at all, but mislabelled on the cover as track 2. And track 1 is the original album version.

Is that correct?

Both my US CD and UK CD are promos, the US has the full length PSB mix, the UK has the 4.02 edit.

I believe the official CD is labelled as 4.02 but yes, does have the full length version.

It isn't though!! The cd single says it's 4.02 but it's the full version.

I now have the UK CD single in my CD player.

I can confirm it is the full length version at 7:22 on the CD, whilst the sleeve does say 4:02 in length.

Excellent! But I laugh at the record companies c*cking up once again.

Also it only cost £1.99 :)

Re read what i said. The promoCD has the 4.02 mix. The commercialCD is mislabelled as 4.02 but plays the extended.

But since this is the only cd format for Read My Mind, couldn't it pass as a cd-maxi?

So The Killers have included the long mix, but labeling it as the edit? Cool for me. Dangerous for them, as the single could be invalid in the charts if this is discovered, right?

The Killers ... knew by name or hearsay but
didn't know what kind of music they do.

Now I know. Interesting ...

The cover pic reminds me of 'Domino Dancing'
btw. The bus in the desert ...
Maybe it´s because of the remix.
Wow... 3 days ago I was looking for a photo cd among my hubby's mess of studio and I happen to notice some new cd's he got. The sleeve from the killers caught my attention, like "what a bunch of losers, they couldn't even afford a nice looking chick on the sleeve", oh well...anyways, right now I asked him what was it about, he told me is "plain old rock", not von jovish not hard core, right now he put "Read my MInd" full blast :), I've heard worse, I'm sure PSB is going to make it attractive...

It depends - the record company has to submit the formats to the Official Charts Company, and if they have submitted it as a 2-track CD and not a Maxi, then they are breaking the rules, but if they have submitted it as a Maxi, then they're fine.
