I’m really excited about this new single, and the fact that we will get two CD singles! I also love the covers!

I have a feeling that it will be a completely different version of All the young dudes from the one we’ve heard - especially since they’ve commissioned so many remixes. A disco version?

The photos are so perfect for the song and it's such a treat that they shared them. I don't normally buy singles, but I made an exception and ended up putting a few of the others in my cart too.

Most definitely! I'd say there's even a chance we get a visual treatment for All the young dudes as well.

In case it hasn't been said already, the radio edit of New London boy is 3:49 long, which hopefully means not quite as much has been cut out as thought. Beauty has laid siege to the city, on the other hand, is a long one at 6:36.

Two new PSB tracks are set to premiere on UK radio tomorrow morning, 7th November. First, Zoe Ball will be giving the Pet Shop Boys cover of David Bowie’s “All the young dudes” its first play on BBC Radio 2 at 7:50 AM GMT. The Boy Harsher remix of “New London boy” will premiere on BBC Radio 6 Music at 8:55 AM, where Nick Grimshaw sits in for Lauren Laverne.

Just listened to ATYD on Radio 2…. sorry but still don’t like it. Sounds too rushed with Neil trying to keep up. I know many will disagree but this is not single material.

IMHO, on first listen, "Beauty has laid siege to the city" lives up to its name: sweeping, lush, elegant - and the lyrics feel very acute currently (if rhythmically a little clunky in a couple of places...).

And, rather enjoying the Boy Harsher mix of "New London boy" in an early '80s synth-pop kind of way and keeps some of the wistfulness. The new vocal also add a nice spice to the song.

Beauty has laid siege to the city is rather nice.
