The announcement for PSB at the Lokerse Feesten (2 august) is quite... epic is the word I'm looking for:

https://www.lokersefeesten.be/nl/bands/pet-shop-boys

The best part of Sunday is Saturday night. You look forward to your weekly day of rest, your unemployed alarm clock and that book you’ll be reading all day with a calm jazz record in the background, but you don’t do that before you get rid of all your excess stress thoughts like a cloudburst on Saturday night and evening. And oh boy, have we put together the ideal party for you! After all, we invite the legendary PET SHOP BOYS to our stage.

To even introduce Pet Shop Boys would be an insult to them and their oeuvre. We mean, after the heyday of The Kinks, The Beatles and David Bowie, this must be the British group with the highest number of recognizable top tunes. In the international charts, they’ve always had their own box office, because they lived there almost full-time anyway, and that’s just one part of their immense achievement. Color, for example. The Pet Shop Boys broke through when pop music was in its most dreary phase and black only had to tolerate dark gray as competition.

Enter Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, who finally served up some color again with a shipload of fruity world singles after a colorless diet that lasted for years. Anyone who has seen the group live in recent years can't stop talking about their incredible light shows, as if thousands of rainbows are having an orgy accompanied by a few dozen world songs and energy bombs. We also looked at the list of awards they have won on their website, but that's no use, because that book mentioned above will never be finished. Prepare yourself for 'It's a sin', 'Domino dancing', 'Rent', "Being boring' or the excruciatingly beautiful 'New London Boy' (2024) and feel sorry for yourself because there won't be enough time to play many more delicious songs.

With Pet Shop Boys, we are bringing one of the most relevant groups in British music history into our home on Saturday, August 2. Sunday is a day of rest and that Ella Fitzgerald record will do you good, but know this: the best part of Sunday is Saturday night and oh boy what a party awaits you.

Why can't PSB perform here?
They'd be well welcome. There's a massive fanbase of 80's music lovers.
Lots of people fly to Australia for concerts too.
PSB get regular airplay.
I feel if they can't forecast selling out stadiums, at least do smaller venues like other bands of the era do.
It was phenomenal seeing OMD. Next is New Order and Soft Cell. Whyyyyyyy can't PSB perform in Australia.
Is it PSB themselves, or the promoters.
This is what I am confused about the continuation of the tour - why is it only in the UK and Europe? There are a lot of fans in other parts of the world, why limit themselves to only one place? From what I have heard across the web, they were supposed to come to Australia, although I am not sure. I hope that there will be some dates announced for other countries across the world in the future - fingers crossed
Could it be possible that the tour in Australia would coincide with the announcement for Vivid Festival in Sydney? Considering the theme for this year is “What’s in a Dream” I’d say that having the “Dreamworld” show as part of the festival would be very fitting! 🤞🏼

Yes, but Belgium and Sweden too? I suspect PSB pick their gigs wherever they can also find a bit of culture to visit.
