One friend of mine has recorded a version of IDOSAC, just for fun.. He re-recorded the harmonies and everything... :)

Bear in mind that it was recorded in ONE take and in a lousy homestudio...

Tell me what you think!! :)

Hmm.... doesnt sound like a "He". anyway, "He" is trying to imitate Neil too much and the voice becomes nasal (more often than Neil's)..

Tell "him" to sing like himself.

What do you mean by "re-recorded the harmonies and everything" ??
Was the entire song reprogrammed/something? or just sung over the instrumental of IDOSAC?

I'm the guilty one (i.e. the vocalist), and yes, I do try to sound like Neil since my own singing voice isn't very good (and neither is his, so I might as well mimic), and of course it's the instrumental version that I've just recorded vocals on top of. Wasn't my idea to post it all here, though, but who could be more honest in their criticism than the PSB fans? So... But one person at least said "cool", which I can take as a copmpliment.

actually I think you have a beautiful voice and its high like neils you cant help it.and something tells me you sound pretty good also singing in a lower register I could tell when you sort of dipped down low in a couple parts.couldnt quite tell if you were doubletracking but you have a strong voice . if you do some originals or other songs I would like to hear them.

the only iffy parts for me is when you went really high like (plastic tree/how much things cost) part you went a little too broadway for my taste.but I have heard many fans sing PSB songs myself included but your voice really fits nice.

Sorry that what i said was harsh, i thought you rerecorded the whole thing, if the title was just "Karaoke IDOSAC" it would be more appropriate..

And i totally agree with GlennJRidge, you should try to sound original.... sing it like YOU wrote the song and YOU are gonna sing it in a syle that YOU like!
We all try to imitate Neil's voice, but more often than not, it will not match..

If you have any other vocals/karaoke, i'd like to hear it!

Indeed! That is, if you're the Mark J I suspect you to be. Still waiting for the other song (which I've renamed and rewritten now, btw) apart from Attractiveness. :P Hope you're doing well!

And thank you, everyone else, for your comments about my "fan version" of IDOSAC. I have a version of Love is a catastrophe here, but I have to do some more work on it before I'll let Miracle post it here... 8)
